Watch live: SpaceX test fires Falcon 9 rocket for space station crew mission

SpaceX will perform a six-second test firing of its Falcon 9 rocket at launch pad 39A ahead of its planned launch with Dragon Endurance carrying a new crew to the International Space Station. Ignition of the nine Merlin first stage engines will occur at around 7:50 a.m. EDT (1150 UTC).

Liftoff from pad 39A is scheduled for 3:49 a.m. EDT Friday, Aug. 25.
