Excellent, well-presented guide to RetroArch. Thanks for taking the time to do this. If I hadn't watched your guide, I'd not have realised that the shaders have a settings sub-menu in the recent nightlies that just aren't there in the releases on the main site. CRT Royale is an extremely powerful shader that (to me at least) was extremely confusing, and you made it look easy :)

It's very challinging to get this work propper, going to give it a try with this video next to it. Any change you can show how to set up and run it trough XBMC. Saw some video's with that and all the cover art and stuff. But this is a very good start thank you.

I have a scraping issue on may Raspberry Pi B 3 plus, running Retropie 4.4. After have fully loaded my 16G SD card with games, i no images at all are scrapped to my roms, i'll apreaciate your oppinions at this regard!! thanks

Thanks for the tutorial. But holy fuck is this a pain in the ass. I spent an hour trying to get phoenix to work before finding an obscure forum link saying it was discontinued, and now I'm trying to get this, the latest version, to work. Who the fuck is going to know that "nightly builds" refers to what you're actually supposed to download? Why don't they just have working download links from the official website clearly stating in plain English what everything does, along with an official TUTORIAL that doesn't have a broken link.

Got it running (after updating the video drivers of the laptop) but.... no sound. Grabbed the Latest and older versions from you link, but still no sound. Tried different sound outputs and a wireless headset but no sound. The games it self running smoother then i ever have seen.

How do you go about setting up keyboard controls? I use an Ipac2 in my arcade cabinet, so I need key commands, any ideas?

hi i know this will sound like a dumb question but how do you select stuff on the menu i use the arrow keys to move around but when i want to go to setting i clike enter or space and nothing happens what do i click

Can someone help me in retroarch I have been trying to add mother 3 and rom hacks to the playlist but it does not recognize the rom files and I have been trying everything from editing the playlist or looking for an option in the config and nothing.

Can you explain how you got the blueMSX core working and where you downloaded it? Every time I boot a game with the core I have RetroArch crashes.

My ps1 ingame saves wont work lol as soon as i exit and go back to play later it said save data not found then when i continue from a save state (i dislike save states) and go to save from the menory card it says corrupted data where the save file was

I have installed RetroArch onto a Linux and windows box both of which i have the same issue with, wondered if you had encountered the problem as well....the problem is each time i edit the configs and save they are not loaded next time i launch retroarch, i can load the custom config after but i want it to launch with the custom config. Editing the default config via notepad still doesn’t change things....any ideas?

C. I download a file for the first link and mostly all the directories are there, but few are missing like Rom file
Q. Any idea where to get the missing files
C. I'd tried two more files containing the list of directories but some had more directories than others
