I did this once. The instructions literally said to put the pointy side upwards. It was drawn on very clearly, but that was the end that is supposed to go into the ear. Inside the pointy tip is this wax stopper to prevent anything from going in your ear. Long story short, that wax cone melted and fell directly into my ear. It fused to my skin and I had to cut it out 😅
