this is super helpful. when i first signed up for straight talk a few years ago i had to go through their over the phone support from india and it was a pain. doing this myself on the website when my new phone comes in in a few days will be way easier. thanks for the video

At 5:21 I thought the video froze. You have the hands of a surgeon.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I had to send my phone to Apple for a hardware repair and they lost my SIM card in the process. I have been dreading trying to figure out how to get my number and plan switched over to a new card, and this helped tremendously after such an already long and frustrating process. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for this. I've come back to this video twice and used it to change networks.

In my case I just got a phone from Walmart and I can call and text but data doesn't work and straight talk was no help so I want to get a new SIM without paying for a new service card and transfer my current service to that new sim

If I had straight talk, cdma Verizon byop, currently working properly and running an activated cdma ST sim. I would like to know if I can take the sim out of current phone and install into another Verizon cdma phone. Would I need a new sim from straight talk?

Waiting for my new Straighttalk sim card to arrive. Hope your video works. Why? Because I am moving to a new phone. It will be using the same telephone number and same ST service plan and same GSM service, EXCEPT. Except, the current ST sim card is assigned to the existing current old phone IMEI number. The old phone make and model number is hard coded to the old sim card AND to the ST records. Straighttalk says I need a new sim card because my old (current) sim card is registered against the old phone. ST says you always need a new SIM card when switching to a new phone. HERE is the rub. I removed my old sim card from the old phone and placed it into the new phone. And, the new phone works perfectly, with the old sim card. T, he old sim card works without any intervention on my part or any help from ST. BUT, again, my ST account page says that I am still using the old make/model phone. Now, since the old phone will become inoperable when ATT goes full 5G, I had to buy a new phone. That's not the problem, since the old sim card and new cell phone work perfectly together. The problem is that my ST records still show the old make/model phone, which will not be compatible with the ST cellular network. So, I keep getting ALERTS from ST that I need a new and compatible phone.

I love ST service, as well as their Customer Service. The first replacement sim card they sent had problems and ST did spend a lot of time to try and make it work. Kudos to ST. So I ordered a new ST sim card from ST and hope this one will activate. I'll be a couple days before it arrives.

hi, i have a unlocked verizon samsung galaxy S5 with a straight talk sim card that i originally got back in 2012 which i used for a tmobile phone back then. Ive noticed that i dont have internet coverage as soon as i get out of the city. I go on long road trips and i only have internet when i drive through certain cities. This didnt happen though when i had the sim card in the old tmobile phone. Do you think it could be that i need the right sim card for my current verizon unlocked phone?
