They make fascia boards in the same composite so you can finish the risers and deck sides vs exposed end cuts. You can also picture frame the contour of the deck and stairs to avoid it.

Bro actually used butyl tape on the stringers and proper blocking for the posts. Been in construction my whole life and currently supervise multimillion dollar projects and this is one of the few men i would trust unsupervised! Looks good!

Very well done, I respect anyone that takes the small details into account - flashing tape, sealed endgrain, wedge block jig, etc. So easy to skip these things for a quick job - real pros know it's way more important do it right.
