Looks to me (and felt like when I just used it) that the thermite is not working as intended. The pre explosion burn effect is supposed to melt through the armor, and then the ending explosion should do big damage to the area it just melted through. The idea being that if you get them to land perfectly on say, a Hulk’s face, it should melt through, then explode on the Hulk’s now breached faceplate, and kill it.

PSA: You can quick swap between the eruptor and any weapon (best with pistols) to skip the bolt animation... I learned this from a japanese helldiver shooting the eruptor suspiciously fast XD

Def needs a buff. If I'm giving up the area damage of impacts/incindearies, the crowd control of stuns, and the concealment of smokes, it should at LEAST kill a charger in 1 headshot/strip its leg armor, and kill a hulk when stuck to its back

This should either do significantly more damage than the impact grenade (since it has no AOE) or it should be capable of shredding through heavy armor. It would be incredible if it could expose a charger's leg in 1 nade, or take out a hulks leg for example.

To help the thermite grenade stick you must hold the button for like 2 seconds and you'll see spikes deploy from the grenade... then throw. Otherwise they will bounce off

it should be noted, that from what i can see, it seems that thermite burn damage is done as fire dot damage, which does not stack. This means that if you stick multiple thermites to an opponent at the same time, the damage from the burn may not stack.

The inconsistency of these grenades makes me think they are heavily bugged. Here's hoping that's the case, because this was such a cool concept. I guess we'll just have to wait a week or two to know for sure

3 shotting tanks and hulks consistently and 1 shotting turrets are definitely the highlight

Impact nade can 2-3 tap tanks and 1 tap towers if you hit their vents. Primary reason I've been running impact nades for so long. Being able to stick the side of a tank is going to be more consistent for me and given the huge amount of heavy devestators existing now I think this puts it squarely as my new Bot Nade option. Though I will admit a good reason this is doable is because we now have the grenade pistol which will just function as the replacement for the other half of the things I used impact nades for.

Also, might consider it on Bugs purely for the BT interaction. I really don't like having to rely on a non ammo based strategem to deal with heavy units so this plus Quasar or RR/EAT will likely be a combo going forward since again, nade pistol can be used for closing holes. I would like to see them get buffed so they can strip armor though. As lowering the AV while nice is too niche imo.

Yeah impacts can two shot tanks if you hit side, back and top of turrent. Termite should atleast one shot heat sink.

Also, here's hoping they buff them because i was really hyped for them and this is really underwhelming/disappointing.
I think they should remove the (already tiny) blast from the end and massively increase the DoT. Make them dedicated heavy armor penetrators, and make them GOOD at it, at the cost of anything else. I think that would be a balanced tradeoff.

The buff for thermite would be to shred armor. As in one thermite would shred charger armor AFTER is blows up which is a fair buff since it takes awhile for it to explode

This to me looks like the thermite grenade is bugged. My expectation was that this was supposed to break off armor, and maybe do a little damage. Like you start with throwing this at a charger's face, wait for it to burn the armor away, and then blast their face. But if it's just a burning sticky thing, that's rather disappointing...

After testing it seems like the grenade is half baked. I don't believe this is the completed version of the grenade.

Thermites should take out anything with a heatsink in one grenade. It should excel at taking out structures, equipment and heavy vehicles if you apply them to key locations.

in my experience termite have a only one good spot to be used and its with the rail gun, u can damage heavy ennemi with some shoot then launch termite and it blow charger and titan with 1 or 2 of them with this combo, exact same thing with tanks and bruiser

I really hope these aren't intended for medium armor targets only, because a single impact grenade can instakill most medium armor enemies
