Just a very simple demonstration of speed difference across the 3 armor types

For context, Im W2. After Wulfrayne did their initial testing on armor values and found them not working as intended, we came together with another friend to do some other tests. Most of it wont make it to a video, but we wanted to test other armor stats and break any doubt on one off scenarios.

Speed was an easy one to test, we picked as open an area as possible and ran to a point 100m away. Heavy ran out of stamina at around the 50m mark, medium made it to 100m with a tiny bit of stamina to spare, and the light made it almost 150m before running out of stamina.

We also tested multiple of the armor bonuses. Extra padding doesnt work because armor values arent working as intended. But all other bonuses do work:

Limb health increased the threshold for a limb to break, but doesnt actually add any health like some speculation we've seen. For example, if a Helldiver has 100 health, a limb will break if that specific limb was the hitbox for 50 or more damage. With the limb health, it instead took about 75 damage to a limb's hitbox for it to break.

Explosive resistance does work, but in most cases, taking explosive damage is enough to do over 150% a helldiver's health. We could only confirm the resistance on autocannon shots, but it will work on any explosive source if given enough distance.

And though not originally part of what we went to test, we found that orbital gas and a flamethrower's lingering fire only damage the Helldiver caused the effect. You can just chill inside an ally's gas or lingering flamethrower fire and be perfectly fine.

Throwing a grenade and waiting for the explosion to indicate the start of the race is what I always did in GTA with my friends 😂
Thanks for the field test soldier! o7

Really simple and straight to the point

Since this is the Helldivers 2 test channel now you should test if it's quicker to keep sprinting all the way to a destination without regening or jog while stamina recharges then resume.

I do hope they fix the armor values, i always liked playing a tanky character but at this point heavy armor is pretty much useless

hey could you do a test on just running without stamina vs waiting for stamina to refill then sprinting after?

Fun fact: if you get light armour - you die in 6 hits of weakest bug.

If you wear heavy armour - you still die in 6 hits from weakest bug, but run slower and lose stamina faster

The light armor with limb protection is the way to go

Have you done any testing on weapons? Like what's more favorable against certain enemies. E.g. what it takes to kill charger in the butt (or stripped legs) with low damage but explosives weapons or medium damage ballistic ones. Or how much is DoT effects enemies (with my experience flamethrower's ground flame DoT couldn't even kill small scavenger bugs, but direct damage can kill chargers in around one mag, while at the same time damaging enemies behind them)

Found out I have armor that has 544 speed and 122 stamina regen. Thats Servo Assisted

Its pretty nice to speed run robot camps and holes with the ammo backpack😊

Would you mind testing the damage of guns too? I only tried them with the bugs on level 1 but the scouts and warriors seem to all get downed by the same number of headshots. An example is the Liberator and the Diligence. The Liberator kills a warrior in 3 head shots but so does the Diligence even though the Diligence has almost double the amount of damage as the Liberator. Breaker, the Lib Explosive, and Lib Penetrator are 3 headshots too. The scouts take generally 1-2 shots for all the guns in the same way. Not sure if I'm missing something or tested it wrong.

did stamina regen faster on different armors, or just last longer?

idk

please do this test again with the green ultralight warbond armor, and then also compare the speed difference with and without that set's helmet (it increases speed when equipped, but that's not listed in the stats)
you should have 550 speed with this combination

In a straightaway from point A to point B, Is it faster to keep sprinting after stamina is empty, or to stop sprinting so stamina can refill? How does this compare between different armors?

I intend to test this with a friend of mine at some point but would like to know if it's already been tested.

I would love to know how laser weapons actually works, does it do more damage the longer it stay on the same target? more damage with more heat? if i just keep machine gunning with it is it the same damage per beam? idk!
