If Sam likes Lord of the Rings inspired, listen to “The Battle of Evermore” from Led Zeppelin 4.!

Battle of evermore Led Zeppelin is one that has a lot of Lord of the rings influence in it also. Robert and Sandy Dennys vocals are just insane on the song. Thanks guys.

This song always brings me right back to listening to this in 1983 when I was 15 in Boston. Tripping on purple microdot mescaline with about 50 friends on the railroad tracks. We had a big boom box tons of beer and the leaves were falling because it was fall. Great song!

My father passed away in 2015. We weren't close. LED Zeppelin and motorcycles were the only thing we had in common. Leaving his memorial service the day before his birthday, I turned the key. This song started from the beginning. Ramble on Pop.

really great bass line. have never heard a guitar bridge like that before or since making it even more unique and original. Bonham's drumming is in a class by itself in this melody. As usual. And Plant brings a reference to J.R.R. Tolkein into the mix. Only several other compositions of theirs does this. Once again unique and individual.

Imagine being 12 years old and being exposed to a seemingly endless plethora of music like this. It's only many years later that I have realized that I lived in the best of times.

I'm a J.R.R. Tolkien nut. I have all his books and I'm very happy with what Peter Jackson did to bring the stories and characters to life. Excellent. Jackson needs to tackle "The Silmarillion" next!
