It's a christian song, but what makes it a powerful one is that it can very easily be changed into a secular song. It is speaking of feelings of fear and inadequacy, and that are universal emotions.

"What if I stumble, what if I fall?
What if I lose my step and I make fools of us all? Will the love continue when my walk becomes a crawl? What if I stumble, and what if I fall?"
This could just as well be a declaration from one lover to another, a request for confirmation. Even though this song was sung 11 years ago, knowing dr Josh and Megan now that is what I hear.
