You can be grinding for 2 years with no results and the 3rd year become the biggest thing on the planet. The power of never giving up is real. Keep going and stay patient.

It will pay off. I started YouTube in 2016 using a super old channel, and it took me 4 years just to find the right topic, but I stuck with it. I started this channel on November 14th, 2020, and yesterday I hit 100, 000 subscribers.

It’s so tougher to get recommended but it truly comes down to the basics. Puts great content and being super consistent. Either way don’t give up 🙏🏽

Everyone says that a high percentage of views come from recommended but I've never had that, a majority of my views come from search and I have no idea how to switch that around, I already follow the tips in this video

My biggest growth was during a span of 3 months, when I was streaming for 12 hours a week, broken between 3-4 days. Consistency is key. Do a bit every day. Post consistently starting once a week, and slowly up it to twice a week.
God willin, rest will become easy. Trust the process over the result.

I like the idea of hopping on trends, I'm gonna backtrack some old trends to find ideas of how those could have been applied to my content so I get some practice when the next one comes out. Otherwise, to prove any small channel can get recommended, I made a video about a popular topic, with good execution of all the things, and I skyrocketed from 30 to 5k subs in a matter of days, then it slowed down a bit and I'm closing in on 10k off of the momentum of that video and another good one I made since.

Me as a small channel, i started 6 days ago and I was already able to pick up tons of views daily and that is because of my knowledge of the youtube algorithm, all you guys need is retention and high ctr and that can take your channel really far.

Recently from what I saw youtube did make it very easy for the small youtubers to build their channels.

So if I gotta suggest to you guys then you should start now and listen to vid IQ and remember about the AVERAGE VIEW DURATION, its so key!

Goodluck everyone and I hope your channels will all become big, use your chance while you have it now❤😉

I believe in the power of tags, description, and getting your audience participate in the comments. I started my channel a month ago, and I’m getting thousands of views on my videos. Keep trying to make good videos. It will pay off in the long run. I will need to improve on my thumbnails and do more shorts to gain more subscribers. Keep grinding and be consistent, everyone! We will reach our goals! Enjoy the process!

The best thing about your videos is, they pop in on top of my feed whenever I feel I am doing something wrong with my YouTube videos. Thank you!!

Gotta say, Dan’s presentation here was superb. Not only was it thorough but I liked the presentation itself, particularly the blend of inflection and cadence of his sentences.👏🏼👏🏼

I don’t tend to comment on presentation skills but when it stands out, you gotta recognize it and LEARN from it.

Been going since 2017, about to leave highschool, finally taken things more seriously, some of my videos are finally being edited beyond just being put together / shortened.

There’s still so much room to grow even after all these years it’s so crazy that these things can happen.

As always thanks for the information it helps so many people!

I usually don't like search so much. But at times it can really help to grow. With my last couple of videos, it helped a lot to get some traction. The first video did very well on search and stuck at the top 3 spots for a long time and collected over 60k views in a span of 2-3 weeks. When my follow-up video came about the same topic, a huge chunk of the previous search users turned into recommended viewers and made that video surpass the previous one by a lot. The video that ended up on search wasn't even optimized for it. My title and thumb had the purpose to gain traction on browse but it ended up on search anyways. But I guess the packaging made it stick out there.

I'm actually already getting recommended, I started that on my first video. I post about cruising and posted a review as my first video, which, as of this morning as over 450 views. It keeps getting recommended in the UK because the ship is currently sailing out of there. Once winter comes, the ship is getting repositioned back to NY, which means most of my viewers for that video will come from NY. Likewise, my next review will be on a ship that's currently stationed in NY, but once the ship that's coming over here for the winter gets repositioned to NY, my next ship will probably have high viewership in FL, which is where it's stationed out of in the winter. So, for me, it depends on where ships are stationed. Plus, I post a lot of cruise tips, which can be used across cruise lines. And I already have the thumbnail made for my cruise tips video for next week. It started with an idea, then I went immediately to the thumbnail. The rest of the week, I'm focusing on content.

Small channels videos can get onto the recommended page! I released a video last year about a video game clip and it reached over 100k views. Not only that, that same video helped six of my other videos to hit over 1k views. You as a creator just have to keep going and get creative with titles and thumbnails related to your niche. You've got this everyone 💪 :)

When I published a video for the first time in Shorts, it progressed when I was trying to change the keywords for all the videos and even in the channel, suddenly the videos stopped getting views suddenly, and this is very embarrassing. So, is it necessary to change the keywords for the better? Will the video spread for the better one day? Will it spread quickly? Thank you.

Imma be 💯 when it comes to the idealism of “never giving up”

After nearly 9 years of content creations over a period of 2 channels.

It’s the constant driving force that causes your channel to grow.

Your video(quality wise) will help, but it doesn’t guarantee you’ll get anywhere.

Think of it like TikTok, first 2-3 minutes have to be entertaining or else everyone will get bored and hop off.

The whole, hard work will pay off trope is like climbing the largest mountain in the world, slowly dying from frostbite while everyone else is driving snowmobiles telling you to continue to try.

Everyone started from nothing, but they grow based off of whether they are entertaining enough to continue to be watched..

And whether YouTube wishes to follow through on popping your video in other’s suggestion list/searches.

However!

Anything is possible, it’s just.. rough..

YouTube recommendations is HUGE. My channel is a month old and I’ve had a video with over 3, 000 views courtesy of YouTube recommendation.

Gotta keep grinding. Been going for two years and slowly climbing up. One day I hope I can get more peeps to see the channel just to get a laugh or two :) All I really care about on my channel.

Keep it up guys! You'll get up there soon! <3
