"Top line crap" that's exactly how I feel about the new turbo disaster. I am not buying any of them.

You are correct!! Toyota has Destroyed their reputation of Reliability and Resale. These Turbo engines will not be reliable or go the distance of a naturally aspirated engine! The prices are Crazy!!! 🤦‍♂️

You are correct sir. My 2022 Gen3 Tundra blew up at 28, 000 miles. They finally put a recall out for over hundred thousand trucks due to defective engine blocks. Toyota is trying to cover it up by saying it’s debris in the engine block but that’s a bunch of BS. The 2022, 2023 and 2024s are still failing. This includes the Lexus SUV that’s made in Japan with Japan made engine blocks, go figure. Stay away from the sequoia too, it has the same defective engine.

I paid $39k in 2018 for my Tundra SR5 TRD Off-Road 4x4 DC, with 38 gallon gas tank. Same truck today is $65k.

Its all the "fools" who bought these overpiced Trucks that gave Toyota confidence to keep going up in price. Toyota is going to learn a hard lesson. I have a 2019 Tundra TRD Sport, the dealer near me was salivating over it when I brought it in for oil change and asked if I wanted to look at the 2024 TRD Pro Tundra on the lot, I laughed and told him he couldn't pay me to take it away.

My family has been a die hard Toyota since the 70’s, the old man knew what was going on so during the summer of 2014, he came home with a new Nissan. At first the family was shocked, and today that car is still running good no issues even tho the grand daughter is beating the hell out of it. Goes to show you…

Two years ago the old man bought another Nissan and the rest is history….

Toyota screwed up. Charging crazy prices for Mexican trucks when the average worker makes a few pesos an hour, AND not offering n/a engines in the lineup

This man is making a very very great point. But the problem is you have people in America who buy these trucks. if you stop buying these trucks, the price will come down. And Mr. Toyota and company know that. But they also know that we will sell some definitely in the US 😂. Stop buying them.

Anyone with the old V8 or V6 engines will never trade them in for these garbage heaps. Wouldn’t e surprised if they were forced to revert to the old proven technology.

And Toyota folk bashing on the Nissan Titan and Frontier, LOL. Titan is a proven truck, V-8 and the Frontier V-6 is damn nice also. I love my 2023 Frontier PRO4X. Nissan should not stop making the Titan now, Nissan needs to capitalize off of Toyota's stupidity.

Toyota has lost their marbles for sure. Went from having a couple of the best trucks on the market to having a couple of the most overpriced trucks on the market and with the Tundra engine issues unreliable trucks also. Most truck buyers would not buy the turbo powertrain if given the choice. With Toyota it is the only choice. Nissan Frontier will be the be big winner and can thank Toyota for voluntarily deserting the top spot by making an incredibly stupid blunder. The old saying " if it aint broke dont fix it" would certainly apply here. The 5.7 V/8 and the Tacomas V/6 were pretty much indestructible, now they are history.

The ONLY two good things about the new Tacoma are that it FINALLY got the improvements that the EVERY Nissan Frontier has had for 20 years already (since the 2005 MY), namely: 1) A rugged FULLY-BOXED ladder frame, and 2) Rear DISC BRAKES. No more cheap-ass weak open C-channel rust-prone flexy frames and cheap-ass inferior drum brakes of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation Tacos! Yay! I can't say anything positive about the turbo 4's longevity. Too bad for Taco buyers. Nissan still holding the torch with their tried and true V6, which revs all the way up to 7, 000 RPM...something any Taco can only dream of....😢😮

In Toyotas quest to meet emission standards, they seem to have sacrificed, quality and reliability …What a shame!

My 3.5L Lexus passed 300K miles. Will never go for the new turbo models.

This sort of things happen to every company. They all fail at some point.

If Toyota wants to fix this issue, they better work fast or it is all over for them. They need to retool and go back to their previous power train and figure it out.
