Black widow spider or Latrodectus is responsible for fear and misinformation as many spiders are. We focus on facts of the spider, geographic range, bite symptoms and treatment. It is not responsible for a multitude of deaths and rarely are individuals hospitalized. Resolution with the right medication and monitoring occurs in about 48 hours.
Treatment: Make sure your Tetanus is updated. MORE BELOW...

1. Wash with soap and water
2. Ibuprofen or Tylenol for pain
3. Ice or cool compresses
4. Antihistamines
5. Catch spider if possible for identification
6. Get to Emergency department

Great video thank you! Pretty sure I got bit by a black widow and there isn't much good information online about the neurotoxin effects you're video really helped. I feel extremely hyperactive since i was bit. I went to immediate care they said to monitor it and gave me strong antibiotics. Its super interesting to me though how I can feel the neurotoxin affecting my body nerves and brain. Much Love.
