Yeah, I know where the spider is.  It is stuck to the bottom of my shoe!  Yep, go to the emergency room.  If the spider doesn't kill me, i will surely die of a heart attack when I get the $10, 000.00 plus emergency room bill!

She said a “violin” shaped red spot on their thorax 🤦🏻‍♂️ first of all, it’s a red hourglass, not a violin 😂 the brown recluse has the violin marking. Second of all, it’s on the underside of the abdomen, not the thorax. The brown recluse violin is on the topside of the thorax. 🤦🏻‍♂️ great now we have a new species of spider 🕷️ its called the widowluse 😂😂

How about keep the site cold with an ice pack until you get to the ER. Remember the ER will charge those with a job or their insurance hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Same goes for a ride with an ambulance. But hey don’t gamble with your life for a few thousand dollars if you think you really need to go!

@KatideChaos Many hospitals don't stock the anti-toxin for Black Widow bites because the it has severe side effects. They will treat the person usually with intravenous Calcium Gluconate (for muscle rigidity, especially abdominal muscles) and Morphine for pain. Other symptoms are handled as necessary.

I was bitten from one. I got pain for awhile but no symptoms. And the pain pass. And nothing happened after never went to the hospital. Or anything.

@KatideChaos For some reasons the anti-venom carries high risk for allergic reactions, and can interfere with a lot of medicines people take. It's risky and people must be carefully monitored (heart/lungs) for any reaction. The doctor must decide if the benefit outweighs the risks; think of it as a last resort option.

Gee, thanks a lot for the complete lack of treatment info. What if I'm in the woods and get bitten? How can I or a partner treat the stupid bite? ERs aren't always readily available. Do they make anti-venom kits or something?

no mater what the blood will go to your heard and bran but by then it should be to diluted to cause any harm
