How do you treat a spider bite? Follow these first aid steps if you’re bitten by a venomous spider.

A spider bite can be scary, but don't panic. Only a few spiders in the United States can cause serious illness or death. If you're bitten by a venomous spider, like a brown recluse or a black widow, below are some of the signs to look for.

Black widow:
-Rigid muscles
-Dizziness
-Drooping eyelids

Brown Recluse:
-Pain an hour or more later
-A blood-filled blister under the skin that increases over time

Somehow, I don’t think raising your arm when there’s venom in your body, allowing gravity to push it even further down towards your heart is a smart idea calling 911 for paramedics is definitely the best advice you gave Here

I have been bitten by a Brown Recluse. I went to the ER and the Dr gave me antibiotics. It did not get as bad as I've seen on a friend. She was hospitalized. She almost lost her leg.
I think, for me, it's because I have a very strong immune system.
I'm one of the rare few that is not allergic to poison ivy. I also have an immunity to COVID.
I'm weird. LOL!

Only problem with that is if you raise your arm the venom in your blood is going to rush faster through your bloodstream…….. lol but okay.

If you elevate your limb, isn’t the blood flow towards the heart facilitated ? Which means the toxin would go faster to your other organs ?

I got bit bya brown recluse on myback last year....it happened in the middle of the night...it woke me up but i didnt bother to wash the area....it itched like hell for about 30 minutes....i then fell back asleep....the next 25 hours i felt like i hada hot nail driven into my back and my entire body turned bright red likea sun burn from hours after that the redness hadwent awayleaving behind a whole body weeks later a had a scab two inches long by 1 inch wide abd a 1/4 thick....im a guy so naturally iavoided going to the hospital as longas possible....when i did finally go the doctor removed the scab revealing that i had an exposed rib. I ended up having to have that area surgically cut out and a skin craft taken from my butt cheek and applied to my back....bothmy backandmy buttcheek are all healed up i speak from experience when i say that spider bites are no joke....take them serious.
