I know a big one is having Danse Macabre that summons Ghouls instead of Skeletons. That's an extra 200+ hp on the field, with 5 attacks that can cause Paralysis if the enemy rolls poorly.

little tip for anyone interested in an easy early game

you can pick up the bodies of the mind flayers and revive them with necromancy

My first character is a good Circle of Spores druid, with Wyll, Shadowheart, and an oathbreaker Paladin hireling, and My undead army rushing Moonrise Tower was the high point of my game so far. You guys did GREAT with necromancy in this game.

Oh it's so good. I'm a Spore druid so I love the mix of zombies, dryads and elementals. I definitely triggered a zombie chain reaction during the many rats fight. One zombie kills a rat, rat becomes zombie attacks next rat, until there where a dozen some odd zombies

I'm a little sad I cant spend the spell slot to keep my undead around after a long rest, but I definitely am loving running around with my necromancer, oathbreaker, and bard/cleric/rogue party face, can take any of the companions and this group just aces it regardless

As a lifelong Necromancer I have to say that I love you Larian studios. Not only did you not nerf necromancy into uselessness like most games, but you have it a much needed buff. Most fun necromancer I've ever played, by a lot- i love it.

My only complaint is the Nerf to danse macabre after the patch. It was very very powerful, so I get bring it back in line, but removing my ability to control the minions makes them almost useless lol they have a tendency to just run to the nearest corner, take the dash action, then end their turn. And they'll stay there dashing and not moving the entire fight every fight lol

You want an army, buddy a druid and necromancer. You know you dank when your summons can also summon.
