The Dream: Company make things more accessible, more people can afford so more people will buy, company makes more money than if with higher price tags, people get cool products. 
The Reality: Company become annoying "luxury brand", no one buys overpriced products except like 1 of the 10 rich people that exist, company loses money, company wonders what happened... rinse and repeat.

It is very unfortunate, that the launch of this long awaited successor to OP-1 is completely overshadowed by the reactions to the ridiculous pricing.

They really should acknowledge the pricing is wrong, before their brand/image is completely destroyed. It would be the coolest way of showing they listen to their fans/customers.

As someone who spent a year financing the original in 2018 WEEKS before the restock only to receive a second hand piece of garbage that i have to send in for repairs once a year costing over $300 sometimes, I can say this is a scam. You cannot convince me that the original still holds its value or that it was ever worth its value at $1400, $1300, or $1000. And you sure as hell cant convince me to pay twice as much for an updated piece of gear that I already own and hate… and cant get rid of bc it keeps breaking!

The price is outrageously exaggerated. For that much money you can literally buy a PC, a DAW, Plugins and a good keyboard and you'd still have money left.
