So I think the general consensus is that the hooks are for keys. Makes sense 😂 I won't actually be using this for my keys since it's for my art room and it would be a super inconvenient place to put my keys, but still. Good to know I guess 🤷‍♀️

I can almost guarantee that those pegs were used for hanging candles on. In the 90s, when the wooden country look was super popular, everyone who embraced that look had a wooden shelf with drip candles hanging on it...including my mother.

Beautiful work, you are truly talented. Personally, I would’ve painted the poles gold because as a kid I would go to an amusement park every summer and the carousel there had super detailed and really pretty gold poles. This was such a cute design and amazing idea ❤️
