So basically the first half was about Cobain and Courtney then Oasis who is angry with everyone including themselves. Follow up with a ex drummer that didn't fit the Foo Fighters at all. Finally, one group that Dave did have a negative remark but owned up and apologized. Yeah, misleading story headline 🙄

Dave Grohl has a good story about how he got back into music after Kurt passed. He said that he basically couldn’t escape this whole sad situation in America with Kurt passing. So he decided to get on a plane and go to Ireland, he rented a car and started driving through some very remote parts of Ireland, and while he was doing this, he saw a hitchhiker and was going to slow down to pick him up, and he saw the hitchhiker wearing a nirvana shirt, and that’s when he thought to himself “I’m never going to escape this. I’m going to need to face this head on no matter what.” That’s when he decided to get back to the studio and create foo fighters first album. Interesting story I’m sure I messed it up a bit but still very interesting to me.

In others words...NO ONE has any problems with Dave Grohl. Most of the people mentioned--Courtney, Axyl, Noel Gallagher, etc.--have terrible reputations among their peers and a multitude of feuds. The only legitimate beef comes from drummer William Goldsmith, who was treated badly. But overall Grohls reputation over 30 years is sparkling.

He was invited to perform with Stevie Nicks.
He was invited to perform with Lemmy and Motorhead.
And now he was invited to perform with Lionel Ritchie.
Those are legendary artists from completely different genres who all wanted to perform with Dave Grohl. To me that says a lot about the guy.

I had a beer with Dave & he was a super cool dude. Friendly & down to earth.

My old boss went to high school with Dave. Foo Fighters played in my city & after the show my boss texted me a picture of her & Dave having a beer at a low key bar in town and told me to stop by.

I was in shock & excited. Was having a couple beers like three blocks away & walked over. Sat down, said hello, and after the “omg it’s a fkn rockstar!” shock…it was great. Foo Fighters was the best thing to come out of a tragic end to Nirvana. The Colour and the Shape is easily in my top two or three favourite albums ever. It’s incredible that he managed the find the motivation to create such great music such a short time after he was unable to even listen to music after Cobain’s death.
