————————————————————————————————————————————————————
In this video, we'll explore the similarities between CFS and fibromyalgia and how oftentimes they are both essentially the same condition with the same solution. I explain how both conditions are caused by a hypersensitive nervous system and how the same principles of recovery apply to both.

I have both fibromyalgia and CFS. I have severe malaise too. Although my pain is bad my malaise is far worse. I have heard doctors identify malaise as unique to CFS. It is called post exertional malaise (PEM) because typically it occurs as a delayed response to physical, mental or emotional exertion or stress. I can typically be under stress or be physically active and fall asleep fine and then be woken from my sleep with the most severe malaise similar to what you described about your leg but it is malaise not pain and it is everywhere all over my body. I literally scream like I am being tortured or murdered and once a neighbor called the police. There might be pain too (usually not) but even if there is pain the malaise is almost always far worse although the pain is very bad too but it usually occurs separately from the malaise in the daytime whereas the malaise usually occurs at night.

Do you happen to have a source on the brain putting the breaks on your stress response? I know that a stress thresholds exist but I was not aware the brain would respond to extreme stress by putting limits on the body.

Ohnoooo. For me it also started with anxiety (everything was too high… blood pressure, sugar, pulse, temperature and 10000 other symptoms) what then gradually developed into fatigue and a „everything-too-low-state“. Oh god no - i hope I dont get the pain symptoms. I heard a few people saying that they experienced the pain only after a few years. Oh pls 🥲 thought i‘m a lucky girl that i dont have this symptom
