Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia & Long Covid - Are They Connected?

When it coms to pain and chronic illness, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome has been part of the discussion and awareness for a long time. It has even been given some derogatory names and frowned upon by many. But as more has been researched and we have become more aware, we have come to understand it much better. Similar can be said for Fibromyalgia and most recently Long Covid. We are also now realising that many of the symptoms and the areas of our body that these conditions affect are the same. But are these conditions connected?

I greatly appreciate your video Dr. I’m 44 years old and I have had long COVID since October 2023. I lost my dad to COVID and my mother was on a ventilator and hospitalized for 51 days. Just recently I’ve been researching fibromyalgia and I have every common symptom of fibromyalgia. Some days it’s so bad I don’t feel like being alive. My primary care Dr. just shrugs of the idea of fibromyalgia and basically says it’s not even scientific. I would love to hear your input for any relief I could get because I truly don’t know how long I can continue living this way. Thank you for caring about us sometime forgotten casualties of COVID.
