I think cooking with left overs is so underrated. It's how i grew up and even now i will buy extra veg to make left over meals. As a kid we'd be excited over fried sliced roast spuds with a fried egg on the side. Looking forward to trying this myself 😊

I imagine a premade stuffing mix would work quite nicely as a breading for something like this, or fried chicken with a stuffing coating (lol) and gravy

Loved this video. Id never heard of bubble and squeak but we do the same thing with leftover fish and potatoes where I live. But without the crumbs, Ill definately be trying it this way though. Great video.

The current way I'm using many leftovers is to make vegetable pastries. With stews, casseroles and curries, I use frozen puff pastry and make individual pies. Thai chicken curry and Balinese chicken satay curry pies are my current favourites.

I was impressed with your breading technique. No matter what a say to myself before I start breading, I end up with giant coated fingers that could block the sink when I wash my hands! Well done xx

Growing up with my grandparents, my grandma would make lamb fritters with the leftover lamb and on most occasions bubble & sqeak

Chestnuts are one of my favorite tree, and my favorite nut when I can actually get a hold of them (US here). I love when I see someone overseas enjoying them, or taking a stroll through chestnut forests. Thanks for doing this! Both meals looked amazing.

They look delicious, Mike.
Definitely a notch above plain old 'Bubble.'
Also, shoulder over leg, every time, for me too, although a slow cooked rolled belly joint is also very tasty.
