Even in death, Qui-gon still believed in Anakin. That really hits deep. I just shed a tear at that point. Luke may have been the only one who could have SAVED him from the darkside, but Qui-gon was the only one who could have PREVENTED him from falling to it in the first place.

Qui-Gon is arguably the most respectable Jedi. He believed in the old ways, and knew what being a Jedi really meant. The Jedi Order in the prequels was no longer fit for its title. Tragic as the Jedi purge was, it was pretty much the reality check they needed.

The padawan who is not embraced by the council, will burn it down to feel it's warmth.

Qui-Gon looks like he was the only one really tuned with the force, the other Jedi was only using it. It's sad that he lost against a Sith assassin!

He was pretty much the only Jedi who liked Anakin

Imagine had the Jedi weren't so narcissistic and had empathy and compassion for Anakin's mother, used their resources, bought her out of slavery and didn't refrain from training him to his full potential.

I think the facts that his mother meant nothing to the Jedi and they made him feel he wasn't they'd not hesitate sending him off to danger. That would create a lot of resentments for many people.

Qui-Gon has unique view on everything. He's unique, in every way. Qui-Gon always completely in Anakin. I can imagine how shocked he was with everything that happened. But he knew it had to happen. It was will of the Force. And prophesized mileniums ago. May the Force be with you too😊

If this is the will of the force then it makes some think that maybe Kreia had a point that The Force is a monster that only cares about balancing itself out even at the expense of billions of innocent lives.

I agree that Qui-gon wholeheartedly believed in the Force, that he played the long game of making Obi-Wan train Anakin because the Council was about to deny Qui-gon the role anyways, and that Qui-gon was right in training Anakin in the ways of the Jedi rather than letting the Council hide Anakin away or just releasing him back to the galaxy without any help. And the legends canon makes sense. Qui-gon is still human in the end, and there's no way he wouldn't feel remorse for putting all this unwanted and heavy responsibilities on Obi-Wan and on Anakin.

Is Qui Gon partly responsible for Anakin? Actually answer is yes. Before he was killed, he saw how Kenobi had few instincts outside the Order and was more likely to be the Council and follow the Code; which happened in Episode 3. Dooku and Plo Koon would have been better choices to train Ani. Dooku would have been an excellent Father figure for him. He wouldn't have burdened Anakin with the Prophecy and chances are would've made sure Shmi was safe from the Tuskin Raiders or rescued her made sure she was treated medically. Plo Koon would be more of a understanding friend when it came to Anakin being picked on and him having attachments.

Qui-Gon: _"He is the Chosen One to bring balance."_
Council in power for too long: _"Good"_
Qui-Gon: _"Did you all not hear what i just said?"_

I would like to hear Qui Gon's thoughts on how the council and Obi-Wan treated Anakin during his training. When they lied about his force visions about his mother, or the time they denied him the rank of Master but still putting him on the council to humiliate him.

Unpopular opinion: Obi Wan wasn't ready to accept a padawan when Qui Gon died.

In a way, Yoda's fear led to Anakin not being accepted whole heartedly.

You can easily blame your brother by saying so, but it's harder to blame your parent outloud

I’ve always believed that it took an understanding of both sides of the force to balance it. Anikin did just that. Luke followed in his footsteps.

The Jedi are responsible for Anakin's turn to the dark side. They allowed him to be groomed by a Sith right under their noses! They accepted slavery, what is that? This whole "no atachments" thing seems to be code for "not our problem" . They are a great disappointment!

Wow--what a concept! "It was the will of the force that the Jedi fall". That's the first time in years that a concept in Star Wars has made me stop and think. And then when we consider that Luke Skywalker's reformed Jedi were better and stronger than the Jedi Order that fell--well, that only lends weight to that idea. Well done Mr. Wave.

Obi Wan was a lot like Qui Gon Jinn. Both strict adherence to the will of the force. Remember, in the battle Obi Wan had with Darth Vader, Vader said "I am not your failure Obi Wan". I think also that Anakin truly felt ALL Jedi were evil as he had seen many turn to the dark side including legends like Dooku, Bariss, and even Palpatine himself. There was really no way for Qui Gon to reach the twisted and guilt ridden mind of Anakin. And even as a force ghost, Qui Gon felt a horrible amount of both guilt, and shame for what became.

Qui Gon Jinn was an altogether different Jedi. He was a rogue, maverick, a lone Jedi with a strong believe in what the force truly has deemed necessary. This always put him at odds with the council. They often had their doubts about Qui Gon, and possibly wondered if HE was somehow turning to the dark side. Even Dooku had said "Qui Gon would have understood what I am aiming to achieve". Because Dooku was Qui Gon's master. And Qui Gon often lamented that fact. In fact, if anything? Anakin was more like Qui Gon than his own master Obi Wan. But as it stands, Anakin is basically the sum of ALL that was wrong with the Jedi. And he might have felt it was the only way to actually save the Jedi is to become their enemy, purge the "old ways" which paved the way for his son Luke to save both himself, and the Jedi.

I think Obi-Wan even if he was still lying actually had a shred of truth in saying Anakin is at fault for falling to the dark side, there was a video in a different YouTube channel and I believe it was covered in this channel as well that explained as to why in legends Kenobi forgave Ventress and even believed she could be redeemed as opposed to his view on Vader, and I think this is relevant even now as said in that video Anakin had so many resources and people to turn to that he actively chose Palpatine over all of those other choices, so he is at fault in that regard to falling.
