Federal Aid Timeline for Western North Carolina Post Hurricane Helene

The distribution of supplies comes after Friday’s historic flooding left hundreds of thousands of people without water, food, power and cell service. As of 4 p.m. ET Monday, Gov. Roy Cooper said North Carolina still had 415,000 power outages. He said 92 search-and-rescue teams are working as of Monday afternoon.

As floodwaters recede, the area is cleaning up from the damage left behind. Some in the city of Asheville were without cellphone service, power and water for four days and counting.

And just heard the strike starts tomorrow at the docks where more items will come from. Is there not something Wells Fargo in Brevard can do so we can get our social security checks, most of us are retired and hitting 70 yrs old we need meds and food and gas. Someone help us out here too. We have no cell svc accept now we have spotty means of texting. Please help us please we are with out food.

Trump has been having Aid delivered to all these areas on Saturday an said he will keep sending it as long as it is needed and he has already been to Florida, Georgia AND South Carolina in he plans on. Going to North Carolina and Tennessee tomorrow while Biden and Harris hasn't even been to even one of them
