You know its bad when the Florida Govner is sending his resources to these mountain communities. Florida is already got power back and FEMA trailers. These mountain towns are completely cut off.

This news woman is one of the most insensitive people I have ever watched. How dare she ask the mayor of Asheville about the upcoming hurricane season. The people in Asheville are at survival mode. They need food and water. It is not helpful to ask what will they do, theoretically, if another hurricane comes. Stupid and insensitive.

If they can cut checks for all these wars there should be no excuses to not get money for your own country

should be no problem to help all those states- in need the IRS collects 4.7 trillion dollars-we need to help our people first

Meanwhile, Kamala sends uses our taxes aide to Ukraine. I'd rather all of it went to helping those affected by Hurricane Helen. You're in my prayers from Florida.

So it took five days for our current leaders to go down and visit and view the devastation. Are people not aware of the fact that you can't go more than three days without water? Those people help as quickly as possible should've been looked at on day one or day two

Why aid the affected states when we need to send more money to Israel and Ukraine?

And Mayorkis stated FEMA does not have enough money. How is that possible?

I’m so sorry for everyone affected, truly. It’s a complete nightmare. I can’t imagine the loss, especially losing loved ones.

I've worked at a company that wouldn't let you leave early when a storm is supposed to hit, so I feel for those factory workers. God was on my side when I made it home one night during a winter storm that had knocked out power in 98% of my town, I was driving home underneath electricity poles that were leaning over the roadways with barely enough room for me to drive underneath them...

Good for people to bear in mind who intends to fully fund FEMA, NWS, and NOAA and hurricane relief efforts and who doesn't.

Having lived there until 2017, but a born northerner, the challenges there are monumental, and the area is beyond unprepared for something like this. May the Lord be with everyone there.

Side note NBC, please stop the subjective mention of politics right now. These people need survival assistance, and frankly couldn't care less about politics at this moment. Have some decorum, please.

They have funding, they just don't care about you or me.
