I suffered pins and needles in both legs for 5 years without any answers from any doctors or specialists I saw. In the past 3 years I went to walking with a cane and then to a walker. I even had surgery to increase blood flow to my legs which didn't help. I mentioned it to a new pain management specialist I was seeing for another reason and he asked to see my previous MRI results. They (2 MRIs) showed bulging at L1/L2. I just had my first cortisone injection a week ago and the pins and needles stopped immediately. This is an unusual symptom, but doctors should keep it in mind as a possibility.
