Hi Dr MANDELL my Healing Doc. Pins and needles, I get it so often in my fingers and feet. My leg gets so numb that it scares me, unable to put the foot down. Routine, a little screaming exercises to get the fear out of me and then try to stand and topple over coz I can't feel my foot. It takes quite a while to come back to normal. When I sit too long at the computer I feel my dear friends coming by the hundreds into my foot. Sometimes it happens when I get out of bed. Now I know what causes this irritation. Thanks for your healing videos. When I feel sad I watch your videos. It brings joy into my heart. Thanks for making me smile. Hugs

to all the people that like meditation that say it is not because of Blood Flow Restriction it's because of the only nerves getting pinched if actually half right by that I mean they're right that your nerves getting pinched but they're wrong. Because of Blood Flow Restriction I read an article in a meditation site in Italy they made it where you couldn't comment them or reply so you can't really read inform them on thier misinformed thinking the reason to get pins and needles is because of a combination of pinched nerves and restricted blood vessels which means restricted blood flow so to all the people listening to the meditation stuff saying that they're misinformed don't listen to that and if you need to stand up because it can damage you over time

Shaking it off isn’t the greatest of advice dr Mandell. If it persists get blood work and see if the back or neck is painful, this maybe a sign of disk herniation leading to nerve impingement, so see an MD.

Thanks for the helpful to a partial degree info about the "what". I was hoping for more about the "why" too, a look at the determinants and treatment options. What area of medicine are you practicing in? My parathesia is vibration sensation occurring in both feet. Is that rare, "bilaterally", as you speak on terms of one limb, or one hand or foot. After several months of it just once it went all the way up the back of my legs from my feet to behind my knees. It has been happening with increasing frequency since last October 2017. It is postural from sitting a long time at my desk. It usually starts when my big ergonomically designed office chair is reclined some. If I straighten to full upright it goes away. If I lay down to rest or sleep it returns. So the only two ways it goes away is standing for at least 10 minutes, or sitting upright in a chair. The problem is not being able to lay down to sleep. It wakes me at night and I will sit in a chair or stand and it goes away, but as soon as I lay down again it returns. I end up taking tylenol and a sleeping pill in order to sleep. I've told my MD at 2 different appts but he doesn't take it seriously. I feel like going to a neurologist without a referral. There's a "what" with this video but not a "why" or a look at the determinants of why it can happen bilaterally and medically what steps to take to find out why, or what kinds of tests, or what kind of specialist does one seek. Thanks and don't mean to complain as I appreciate your video.

Had cervical neck surgery as the doctor told me I could become paralyzed.. had the surgery and now I feel worse. I lay down and everything goes numb I even have a lack of feeling to touch my belly. I had anterior part done on one day and 2 days later I went to surgery again. But woke up to the dr telling, e something happened and I had lacerations of my scalp and possible whiplashed . No lawyer will take my case. No documentation notes on different things that happened. A week later was found unresponsive was told what was given that caused it and it was written on the black board to don’t give. No documentation s. I’m screwed.

Everyday I put my arm under my pillow and lay on it... It makes me comfy. Any other position doesn't. When I wake up I have *REALLY bad* pins and needles in the morning and lasts for a very long time. I tried different positions and still get pins and needles. *What do I do? Go on medication...?*

Hi doctor interesting video, thank you for sharing.I went to see a doctor for colonoscopy and when they put me in the bed to insert the needle on my right arm you know to put the IV then after she inserted the needle I felt like a electric shock that hit me all the way to my wrist and I told the nurse and she said oh I'm sorry and then she said it's the nerve. I still have the pin, needle sensation on my wrist/hand when I move my arm you know when I grab something I still feel it so I'm worried I don't know if that will go away do I need to look for medical attention I don't know I'm kind of worried because I didn't have that before. No bruises, though.Thank you doctor
