It’s not a leak, it’s a service hatch they remove to inspect the silt retention chamber. If you weren’t busy bitting off other people’s work you might have noticed that.

This is the video that broke the world record for the most Taco Bell jokes.

I made this video. I work at this dam in Papaychua, AZ. It is on a Hopi Indian reservation and this is the silt retention chamber.

That’s why when you get someone to open up after years of being alone, you’re gonna get some shit at first.

Haha the way he tricked us into feeling bad for him in the first half and then admitted it isn't even his video at the end. lmaooo

If i'm not mistaken, this video is taken in Iran. In the original video someone talks in the background and says in persian "look its all mud".

Taking credit for the guy with balls of steel.

The power of water to push all of that heavy mud out is immense.

i'm involved in oil/gas - this is a perfect example of how 'mud' works to hold back the pressure of fluids during drilling! i'm going to cite this video to others -imagine the drill string and bit - we use drilling 'mud' to keep the string stable. if we get it out of balance? blowout! thank you for posting this!

You mean the video you stole and got the credit for.

That's not a leak on top, working as intended. That opening up top let's the tunnel pressure equalize. To much pressure, it comes out the top, negative pressure it allows the ingestion of air. That way the walls if the tunnel won't be flexed by positive and negative pressure waves, which would cause premature concrete failure.

I watch it when I’m on the toilet constipated. It helps me get things flowing. 😂 I’m sure I’m not the only one.

This is a silt gate. It allows for built up silt to be drained so the dam doesn't fill in

What blows me away is how quickly it picks up velocity. That mud is heavy, so it could give you an idea of the pressure and volume of water involved.

"I would be running" yeah you didn't take that video 😂

BTW those "leaks" are controlled pathways that prevent the concrete from taking damage while venting the air gap at the top allowing for a smoother flow. The same way you tip a bottle for a smooth flow but if you tip it too far it will glug.
