In 2016 Toledo Bend dam on the Texas /Louisiana border had all 11 gates open at 22 feet creating a discharge rate of 250, 000 cubic per second

There’s a dam in mid Wales called Lyn Brianne which some canoeists ride the spillway down - I think it’s claimed a few lives ☹️ crazy thing to do

I can only imagine the fantastic striper fishing downstream where the water calms down enough to throw a lure!
