Its annoying how people think thermal paste is the thing that actually cools the cpu down, but its actually used for thermal TRANSFER which takes the heat away from the cpu

It's fine. Maybe he is using the antistatic paste the cpu will work but he won't be able to clean all of it from those pins

Never do that! Picking up the CPU with pliers and applying thermal paste directly to the motherboard socket is extremely dangerous and can permanently damage your computer components.
Why is this so dangerous?
* CPU pin damage: The CPU has very fine and sensitive pins. Using pliers can bend, break, or even pull out these pins.
* Motherboard socket damage: The motherboard socket also has very fine and sensitive pins. Applying thermal paste directly can cause a short circuit or damage to other components around the socket.
* Contamination: Excessive thermal paste can contaminate other components around the socket, causing performance issues or even damage.
The correct way to replace thermal paste:
* Turn off the computer and unplug all cables.
* Remove the CPU heatsink: Unscrew the screws holding the heatsink in place, then carefully lift the heatsink.
* Clean old thermal paste: Use a clean cloth or cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol to clean any remaining thermal paste on the CPU and heatsink.
* Apply new thermal paste: Apply a generous amount (pea-sized) of thermal paste to the center of the CPU.
* Reinstall the heatsink: Reinstall the heatsink and tighten the screws evenly.
Additional tips:
* Use quality thermal paste: Choose a thermal paste that matches your CPU type and heatsink.
* Do not apply too much thermal paste: Too much thermal paste can reduce cooling performance.
* Make sure the heatsink is installed properly: Make sure the heatsink is installed evenly and all screws are tightened securely.
Important: If you are unsure about how to replace the thermal paste, it is best to seek help from an experienced computer technician.
Remember: Computers are precision electronic devices. Any action taken without sufficient knowledge can be fatal. Always seek accurate and reliable information before attempting any repairs yourself.

The thermal paste is not the only stupid thing here. Removing and installing the cpu with pliers is another. This has to be a joke. That's too much stupidity for me.😢
