"Oh, I'm sorry. It's not a $2.5k build, it's a $2, 506.99 build."

"Waitress? You seem to have forgotten to bill me for the salt."
Waitress smiles nervously, not quite sure how to respond.

Dude really needs to factor in that 5 dollars into the 2-3k build 💀

it's also a generally good idea to keep some thermal paste available

Don't forget to factor in any drinks you drank while building that PC because that's clearly relevant knowledge that will help me when building my own PC.

“But did you factor in the cost of electricity to run the pc?”

Just like like Boris said, using a pc without thermal paste is like frying eggs on a pan without cooking oil.

That intro was hilarious and real asf 😂

"The total cost of the build is around $1, 000, but because I built the pc inside of my house you will need to add $144, 000 to the total cost."

You should factor in the rent cost of the room you used to build the PC in for that amount of time

She got tricked into buying the 28$ "super premium ❄ Ice Freeze ❄ limited paste"

Well i kinda understand why he argues to put it in. if its impossible to build the PC w/o it, it should be part of the price. because you can also not build the a PC w/o the CPU or the MB or other vital components, so if its necessary it should be listed in the pricing.

And the pre-applied paste is usually better than some stuff you get in the tubes. It's usually waxy and self-spreads under heat load, so you get great contact.

Respect for keeping it reasonable and actually constructively discussing, rather than letting the audibly present frustration at the question get the better of you. Nice!

I built mine without paste. It works great.

As for the first part, I think he was just asking a rhetorical question to line up for the second part.

i always bill for it just so my customers know its there.same deal with zip ties. granted i charge 1 cent each, but its still on the bill. i have had customers bring in custom builds for overheating issues and found no thermal paste. its not common but it does happen. i just feel that putting it on the bill gives additional peace of mind to the customer.

Meanwhile, when I built my best friend a PC a few months ago, the thermal paste came free with the Noctua coolee I used.

think the question about using paste was rhetorical. But it makes sense to count everything though. It's just that the cost for building supplies are kinda negligible so we just don't bother to mention
