Demo flight in a brand new SR22, wow amazing machine and experience. The fine folks at Tidal Aviation do it great. Shooting the approach with the avionics and side yoke was really fun and spoiled with the avionics and Sirius XM radio. First thing we noticed was the ceilings are felt, no ceiling mount camera going in there! Sorry for the side view, but enjoy the video! The avionics and experience are really different from the Piper Arrow and Archer but the biggest difference is the performance and power!

Hmmm...dreams for most of us. Maybe I can afford one in 45 years when the aftermarket price is that of my 1975 Arrow.

That is an incredible aircraft. If I had better eyes I would be there for sure or meybe even turbine. Wish I could Not in this lifetime so thank you for bringing my passion to my computer. Be safe!!!!

Looks like a fun flight! I flew an SR22 to sun n fun last year. It was the most comfortable GA airplane I had ever flown.

Sure was a lot of fiddling around while ifr from the r seat for this steampunk guy. Really think I prefer a real approach plate clipped on the yoke (yeah, problematic with a cirrus, but you know what I mean). Flight director was killer.

On takeoff & landings I have sterile cockpit. All nonessential communications cease - that would include XM Radio, etc. Regarding video viewing preference, I prefer no background music interfering the demonstration flight information presentation. It all seemed too much clutter. Just fellow pilot and viewer feedback.

Cirrus is a very nice million dollar single engine airplane without a doubt. However, to be be fair about its safety record, let’s report the whole story, see link below. Also, the Cirrus does absolutely zero to promote “affordable” general aviation. To the contrary, it drives up the cost of not only used airplanes, but fuel, insurance, and just about everything else regarding owning, renting, or, maintaining. a small airplane these days. If the link below is correct, Cirrus does not possess the safety record from prior generations of long ago, even with its parachute. Is it just over hyped like everything else these days? Buyer beware perhaps? Just the facts.

I disagree with one part of your commentary. It is not the safest general aviation airplane. Have made improvements, but historically, actually one of the worst in regards to safety.
