There's always lots of hustle and bustle at the Cirrus exhibit at AirVenture, and this year the company rolled out a new Private Pilot training course aimed at first-time Cirrus owners with little to no flying experience. There are plenty of Cirrus owners who learn to fly in their own new SR22 or SR20 airplanes and this new course focus on flying the Cirrus way. The company was also showing new features on the flagship Vision Jet, including Garmin's new GWX 8000 Doppler weather radar, plus Cirrus IQ.

Aviation Consumer Editor in Chief Larry Anglisano caught up with Cirrus Aircraft's Matt Bergwall for a rundown.

More extensive pilot training is needed with respect to the BRS system. I appears to be used incorrectly in many cases and because of it, pilots prematurely stop flying their airplane.
