I took my wife and kids in the new Cirrus SR22T!

After getting the new airplane home I gave several quick rides to friends that day. The following day we went back to the hangar and I took my wife and kids up for their first flight in the new airplane. My wife has flown with me a half dozen times or so, in both my Cessna 172 and other Cirrus, but this was my kid's first time flying in a small airplane. They never had much interest before, but I guess now that they see it sitting there in the hangar they're more excited about it.

Well, turns out they're more excited about the headsets and intercom than the flying part, hah!

So cute! Noticed how dad was dialed in during that takeoff & departure even with the kiddos being hyper verbal, great focus! And mom calming their excitement when dad's talking to ATC/picking up ATIS. What a lovely family, fly safe guys <3!

The two little cherubs definitely stole the show. Mom getting them to settle down by the hush, stop and listen wave of her pointer finger was funny. Didn't even have to turn around and look at them. Good job dad. Beautiful family. Safe travels.

Cried watching this. Two young children, not glued to phones, well behaved and not screaming or fighting. And enjoying the experience. Good job parents. Beautiful plane too.

Yep, those cuties in the back seat stole the show! My girls were that age when they took their first flight in our Bonanza F33A. We flew cross country as a family several times, plus many other family vacation trips. Good times. Enjoy... they'll be off to college in a heartbeat.

I was a girl dad too and I have to say it was the most wonderful experience I ever had in life. Mine are grown now but this vid sure brought back the memories and made me think...wow, I can watch a flying vid any day but I seldom get to watch a pair of girls interact and enjoy it all live again. You have a beautiful family, it's one of God's most holy blessings.

Such cuties! I usually watch flight videos for all of the flight and instrumentation technique. I did none of that for this flight. I just listen to them giggle, and talk about stuff in the backseat!
