1985 F250 6.9 diesel knock

This is the sound of my truck. It started running rough and within 5 miles the roughness had increased and the knock started. I have cracked all of the fuel inlets above the injectors with no change. Listen and look and let me know how to fix her. (1 year later) Still not sure what was wrong here but I will find out. Probably a spun crank bearing.

Don't know if u still have that knock but I just went through the same thing with my 85 6.9 and it was the valves. Loose rockers on a diesel will send the exaust through the intake this is the knock u r hearing. Torque specs are 24 foot lbs for the rocker arms, if the rockers are still loose after torqued don't keep tightening replace rocker arms. I hear its a common 6.9 problem at 300, 000 and that the 7.3 rockers work better on the 6.9 engine

My 6.9 idi will mis fire at idle when first started then when it gets throttle and up to temp it goes away and when I shut it off hot and re start it. It will continue to mis fire till it gets some throttle. It also has a slight knock at 1200-1800rpm under load

sounds like you have a broken piston arm friend had a jimmy that sounded like that

Was this rod knock?  My 7.3 sounds exactly like this.
