I just bought a 95 F-150 XLT super cab with 100k miles. With no rust. For 3grand. It rides nicer than my bmw. I have the 5.8 V8 i absolutely love it.

I worked for Ford for a number of years and another big problem I found is the connections going into the fuel pump relay get corroded and break. It's located under the hood on the drivers side. The pigtail is green. I've replaced many of them. So if you have a crank no start condition check the fuel pump relay and direct wiring before messing with the fuel pump.

From my 92 I removed all the a/c and heater components including condenser and wiring, removed the rear tank, fuel lines and wiring too, put an electric fan with a switch, a fuel pump with a switch too, set the timing on 10 degrees, and yes, the 302 still working very good 👍🏻

They should bring back these trucks and bring back the 300-6. They would sell like hot cake.

We used to have dozens of these style trucks in our work fleets at the time. I don’t know if it could be classed as a mechanical issue but they all had noisy, whiny power steering pumps.

My 92' f150 5.0 is at 440k, was my grandmothers truck who raised me.

The fuel tank selector switch pigtail can become corroded as well, small files and bending the wire terminals end for a more snug fit fixed my 2 dead fuel pumps after buying replacements and a new selector switch.

This is the best video ever made when it comes to quick, and easy to follow, most common issues for this generation F150. I have a 1996 4.3 L manual transmission F150 it was my father’s truck ( he passed away last year )and you guys nailed it out of the park with this video. Props to my man that did the walk-through and presentation. I hope you are featured in more vids !Every Ford F150 owner of this generation truck should be forced to watch this video. You guys would save so many people a lot of heartache. Great job guys!

I have a '96 F150 I bought in '97. 275k miles. All the issues he spoke about are true. The oil pan gasket is a nightmare. He didn't tell you about the process to replace the gasket. Also, who ever owns that truck doesn't deserve it. So much rust! They are not hard or expensive to maintain.

Love my 1995 Flareside F150. I've bought a few things from y'all. I'll need a few more for sure. Currently on my to-do list, find the vacuum leak, rear main seal, timing chain, replace ac unit, shock's, power steering. I've redone the interior on my channel.

1993 XL F-150 still drive it every other day. Been from NJ to South Dakota and back 4 times towing a Harley. NJ to Daytona 3 times in the last 4 years. Incredibly dependable. 4.9 - 5 speed manual. 💪

I believe that 300 inline 6 came out in the 50s and Ford continued making this motor to this day over 30 years it's still the best motor ever.

I've fixed all of these on my 93, truck was given to me 22 years ago and they told me it will need a transmission one of these days, we'll last year that day came, ordered a Transmissions from BestBuy Transmissions, their warranty is what sold me 5 year, mile warranty. Oh you for got the rusted fuel lines on your list.

I just bought a 93 F150 XLT, 5.8, for $100. 105k miles, been sitting 8-10 years. No rust seen on body. Cylinders soaking in Marvel’s Mystery Oil…fingers crossed.
