Brilliant tutorial thank you! And I'm so pleased to be using your hair system - I downloaded the extras and I highly recommend it for beginners like me. Anyone who professes to be a Blender grooming expert MUST have a spectacular hairstyle of their own, as do you sir. 😉

you didnt mentioned that its need UVs. when i replicated the same process, it asked missing uvs. so i duplicated the scalp part and did smart uv project. also when i added empty hair and added additonal subdivision and switched to straps my strands thickness was more than yours. it was too much. why?? how to fix it??

Thanks for this detailed tutorial. A quick question, it is possible to transfer the hair to a different mesh without loosing too much of the combing and settings? If so, can you please demonstrate it how? Thanks for sharing.

Hi, I have a question, how do you combine the meshes that you duplicated to make the eyebrows, hair, beard with the original mesh? Mine doesn't want to follow the rig or the shape keys. Thanks!

Somehow when I use the comb tool the ends of the curves aren't affected much but the middle parts move in the direction I "swipe".
For example when I comb the hair to the back of the head the inner parts bend towards the back but the top ends stay nearly the same creating that "C" shape that looks like the hair is pointing to the front.
Are there some settings I am missing out? I tried to play around with the falloff but it didn't seem like there was a noticeable difference.

a question to ask is
does this new system look the same when rendered ? i saw some videos saying it needs more work
did it get that needed work in the 3.5 ?
and about sticking to the mesh
i know it's not yet simulation ready and that it just follows the mesh
is that applicable on a rigged mesh
cause i want to use the nes system on my new character and idk if i should or not yet

@PixelicaCG, great tutorial! but i have a problem with my model. I have rigged my model and whenever i change the pose the hair modifier makes a total mess of the hair. Do you know why this may be and how to fix it?

Whenever I add the mainhair node to the sculpted hair it just makes the the hair strands very small and any changes made to the modifiers don't show at all, but as soon as I remove the mainhair node modifier the hair goes back to normal. I've spend WAY more time than I should have trying to get this to work on different projects and versions of Blender but it's just been a fat waste of time.

If this does work for others though all the power to ya, it's a good mini series if the nodes work.
