Once Save Always Saved False Teaching - Part 1

Now the End Begins False Teaching

This is a series based on the False Doctrine of Once Saved Always Saved. This is done in response to the predominant message in the American Church today but more specifically to an article from the Now the End Begins Website. You can find the original article here.

The ultimate goal in this video series is to understand the truth about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The predominant message today seems to be the idea that all you have to do is believe and you will be saved. While that is technically true, there seems to be some confusion around what that really means.

Satan has taken the most important part of the Gospel and made it of none effect to us today. The idea that we have to continue to sin and there is nothing we can do about it is the gospel for today. That is a false doctrine and teaching.

God has called us to be a peculiar people, Holy, and set apart. Throughout this series with scripture and prayer, I hope to demonstrate the reality that we can be saved from our sin nature, our past sins, the desire for present and future sins as well as death and hell.

What are we saved from if not the bondage of sin? Do we really believe God Almighty, Jehovah, is all powerful in all things except in providing a way for us to overcome sin?

1 Corinthians 10:13King James Version (KJV)

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

true believers are secure because Jesus Christ is our salvation and He will lose none.

Eternal security is PREVELANT in the scriptures. Again, if one does not believe in eternal security, then he or she is saying, in effect, “I have to do something to obtain it or keep it.” This results in NOT BELIEVING (putting total confidence in) the gospel and putting SOME amount of confidence in his or her self.  Below are reasons why I believe in the eternal security of the believer. Always remember, the Bible CANNOT contradict itself.
Reason 1 – Everlasting life means everlasting life. In the book of John, the words “eternal life” are directly correlated with believe.
Take John 6:47,
“Verily, verily I say unto thee, he that believeth in me HATH everlasting life.
The word “hath” is present tense; similar to “has”. A person who put his or her full trust (believes) in Jesus HAS everlasting life. If one HAS everlasting life, how long does it last? It lasts forever. If one could lose his or her salvation, then the person never had everlasting life. They had temporary life.  Thus Jesus would have lied and that is impossible.
In hope of eternal life, which God, that CANNOT lie, promised before the world began (Titus 1:2)
Reason 2 – Sealed means sealed. As we have seen in the chapter, “The Gospel”, one is sealed the moment he or she believes (trusts) the Gospel. We also have seen that this person is “sealed” unto the day of redemption (Eph 4:30). If a person is sealed unto the day of redemption, how can one lose salvation? People are either sealed unto the day of redemption or they are not sealed unto the day of redemption. Since the Bible is the word of God, I will believe (Eph 4:30).
Reason 3 – Jesus promised not to lose nothing in the book of John. “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
“And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I SHOULD LOSE NOTHING, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:39, 40).
Are we to think that when Jesus has one, He will actually lose one? I see the “should”. However, since Jesus is God, again—are we to think that he will lose one?
Reason 4 –  The Bible states that ALL sins are forgiven to the believer. ALL in the Greek is PAZ - it means total, all, 100%, always (which is a measure of time). If the Bible says ALL my sins are forgiven (past, present, future) then I CAN’T lose my salvation.
“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, HAVING FORGIVEN YOU ALL TRESPASSES; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross” (Colossians 2:13, 14).
“And by him all that BELIEVE are justified from ALL THINGS, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses” (Acts 13:39).

Am I not to believe the Bible when it reads “ALL”? If ALL my sins are forgiven, what sins do I have left to send me to hell? NONE.

Hebrews 9:28 "So Christ was ONCE offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation" Hebrews 10:10-11 "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering in the body of Jesus Christ ONCE AND FOR ALL. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the SAME sacrifices, which can NEVER TAKE AWAY SINS" Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin willfully after that we have RECIEVED the knowledge of the truth, there REMAINETH NO MORE SACRIFICES FOR SINS"John 10:28 "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man plick them out of my hand" Romans 8:38-39 "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"

the devil and his angels:
(please open your heart to
the Word of God and hear ye Him)…

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me,
ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Matthew 25:41

The Word of the LORD says, in 2 Peter 2:4
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell,
and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

- the angels that sinned –

The Word of the LORD says, in John 8:42-44
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for
I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.
He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there
is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar,
and the father of it.

Here in John 8 the Word is speaking of from
1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar,
and his word is not in us.

Listen…
The LORD is telling them beginning at v.21-24
23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world;
I am not of this world.
24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he,
ye shall die in your sins.

Then from v.31-47
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin
is the servant of sin.

39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them,
If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

(do you hear. They were saying that they had not sinned, that they were not sinners.
We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.)

The Word of the LORD says, in 2 Corinthians 11:14
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is
transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his
ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;
whose end shall be according to their works.

He that committeth sin
is of the devil;

Amen, Brother. When the OSAS is preached, just versus that seem to support it are given. They just say believe, but don't tell you what true belief is, and how it is shown in your life.

This brother is telling the truth... The Churches do teach that once saved always saved. That you just have to get saved and that it. Go on and sleep around without being married [ Fornication ] go on and get drunk [ drunkard ] go on and sleep with a married woman [ adultery ] go on and kill people [ murder ] go on and be a man and act like a woman [ effeminate ] but oh you you just got to get ( saved ) and faith right !! Wrong as these people will not inherit the kingdom of heaven unless you do the will of the father.

I agree because if we repent we should be living a righteous life. We are going to sin because we are not perfect but we will always come to repentance if we really feel we have done wrong. We have been redeem but the blood of Jesus but that doesn't give us the right to kill, cheat or Steal. God bless you, brother.👍

If your salvation depends on what you do, your works, then you can loose it. If your salvation rests on what Jesus did for us on the cross when He said it is finished, then you can not loose it. Jesus gave me eternal life. John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. If salvation is eternal life by what Jesus did for us, how long is eternal life?

First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERANAL LIFE. John 3:16

In Matthew 13, Jesus explains his "Parable of the Sower." Here there can be no question that the OSAS doctrine is a false doctrine, for the Messiah himself explains precisely how one's salvation might be lost. It always amazes me that this simple story is overlooked in the OSAS debate because it completely dismantles that doctrine to its sandy foundations in less than 5 minutes flat. IMO, no further evidence is required. Jesus laid the question to rest soundly before it ever even came up.

Everyone must work out their own salvation with fear and trembling.

That doesn't say you WORK for your salvation, but that you constantly STRIVE to know God, your Father, his purpose for your life, and pray constantly, seeking Him in everything you do each day. A relationship with Him is of utmost importance, and any lasting relationship requires that we WORK at it, but the desire should be there to do so because we LOVE Him, because we know He loved us first, and even yet while we were still enemies of Him!

Salvation is borne of LOVE and awe when we at once grasp the profound GIFT that is offered to be adopted as children and heirs of God.
Only an ungrateful child would reject such a loving offer.

If the prodigal son had died whilst slopping swine in the City of Sin, what could his loving father have done to save him?

Nothing.

He had to return to his father's house first; humbled, broken, and contrite; before he could enjoy the abundant blessings his father had always showered over him, and he returned with a new-found respect and appreciation for his father's ways. But he had to first see his error, deeply regret it, and return before his father could hope to help him.

That's not WORKS. That's just waking up.

You can't lose your salvation. You can throw it away though. There is no condemnation for those in Christ. The key part is for those in Christ. Backsliders who don't turn away from sin and repent, are not in living in Christ. And therefore they loose the coverage of the Grace which Christ gave them should they remain in that state. It's never too late until you die.

I also think osas is a false doctrine
Act 18:6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.---here Paul is saying what GOD said to do in---Eze 3:20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Eze 3:21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul

How can Satan cast out
Satan..?

And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
Mark 3:23

The Word of the LORD says, in 1 John 3:8
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth
from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that he might destroy the works of the devil.

(so what when, a pastor says everybody is a sinner,
no one is perfect, there is no one that do not sin)

The Word is shewing us that, that pastor is of the devil,
that pastor is not born again, that pastor is not saved.

Here they say that Jesus, the one that heals, the one that forgives sins, the one that saves
hath a devil (hath Beelzebub).
Listen…
At Mark 4:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub,
and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

How can Satan cast out
Satan..?

The Word of the LORD says, in Matthew 7:22, 23
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that
work iniquity.

How can Satan cast out
Satan..?

The Word of the LORD says, in Matthew 25:41
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed,
into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

He that committeth sin
is of the devil;

To Christians Who Think Like How This Person Commented that I will Copy and Paste Below.

Her Comment: *"they want us to run around everyday depressed and worried about our self worth. knowing deep down we are loved no matter what when we believe in our Loving precious Savior Jesus Christ because he came to die for us. No one is worthy, not one. but if u love Him with everything u got, No one and nothing can separate us from our loving Father. just keep, that in mind it's real simple. Jesus said believe on me and u will have every lasting life. this is an uncomplicated message. they cannot corrupt that. been trying for thousands of years. they want u walking around thinking you r doomed when it's really them condemned. and they want as much company down there as they can find. misery loves company."*

This is Vain, and an Ugly misinterpretation of Scripture. And extremely Dangerous as some of you might be able to see.

*in First Corinthians, Paul writes a letter to the church. and tells them, that they have accepted immorality in the Church. And in the Second Corinthians he says, i see that the letter i wrote to you brought a lot of pain, and humiliation, and conviction of sin. And says it hurt me that it hurt you, but it was necessary. and i'm happy that it hurt you. because it produced a lot of repentance. an eagerness and desire to change.*

So Paul was not thinking, "NO NO NO, THAT FEELING OF CONDEMNATION WAS FROm THE DEVIL IT WAS WROnG"

*So Yes the holy spirit, can bring us conviction guys. and can bring us closer to God. Repentance is Grace. Being able to come to God and say I'm sorry. Changing our actions. Having Obedience. That is Grace. He paid that Cost. So we Could have that option. Not practicing sin. But Practicing Holiness, and Righteousness. Worshiping God in Spirit and in Truth*

Some people misinterpret scriptures to mean that we cannot sin, and say that the holy spirit cannot Convict us of our sin. But really, these people most likely have not truly repented and have not fully devoted their lives to The Lord Jesus Christ. and Cannot Serve God's will, with this kind of mindset. it will be a fruitless, and lazy Christian lifestyle.
With Abundant Hypocrisy. Repent & Turn from your Wicked ways. Then your Father in Heaven will hear you.
