@Liliputing This project has HUGE potential, Can't wait to see more progress in both system stability throughout the various distros and additional useful apps being ported / developed to run properly on it.

BTW You said something about comparing this device to an iPhone or an Android and if it can "compete" - the answer is that it does not have to compete with Android powered or iOS powered phones, because the PinePhone is actually a completely different segment, in it's own niche.
People who love their iPhones or Android phones and do not see any issues (any types of..) with them, will not buy a PinePhone, def. not if they do not have at least a reasonable level of tech savviness or the willingness to invest some time learning it, because I believe that at least for now, this phone is not a full-featured, out-of-box 100% ready-to-run device, it needs the user's attendance, tweaking, sharing feedback with developers for future improvements etc... what the mainstream user is not interested in being invested with.

It's really slow because it's not utilizing the GPU acceleration like Ubuntu Touch's camera app has shown for the upcoming update. That said, this camera app is still competitive to the Ubuntu touch one because it has special post-processing such as HDR+ (One fo the major processing steps google does for their pixel cameras), calibrated color profiles, and it has working autofocus in the latest build.

I just wish some of the bigger linux distros that have no issue with propietary technology would form a super group and create a linux arm alternative to android and laptops/tablets.
