It is worth mentioning. Pinephone Nethuner Pro does not have access to the Nethunter Android app. You also will not have most of the standard tools preinstalled, meaning further installation is required that is not shown in this video if you wanna use things like wifite.

The Pinephone is still a good tool, once setup is not bad. However the Android is better for new starters, as the Android can easily be used for Rubber Ducky and other things! hope this helps!

I'm personally more of a pc guy than a phone guy, recently just moved completely from windows to linux(a lot of people have mixed feelings about ubuntu, but in my opinion, the new ubuntu version 23, is absolutely great), even if not a pen testing distro, you can always just install the necessary tools you plan to use, I even prefer to use a normal non-pen-testing distro. However, this looks pretty awesome, I might try kali on another phone (when I get one).
It's pretty amazing how much linux and os-es as a whole have progressed over the years, I remember back in 2018 when I 1st started playing around with linux on virtual box, and what a struggle it was for me to install it and get it running, had to probabbly install/reinstall it like +10 times in the span of a few days, loool.
Nowadays, installing it from a usb drive on a pc is if not easier, as easy as windows, and even installing it on a phone now seems very fast and relatively easy.
Pretty amazing, seeing how much faster installing an os is today than like 5 years ago.
