I will have to mess with Waydroid at a later time, however I wanted to thank you for all your Linux Community contributions. You have a great and down to earth delivery and I know these presentations take a lot of time and effort. Thank you!

If waydroid integrates applications better, so that it works as a background compiler rather then a emulation, it would be more interesting. I would not have a problem having some android applications basically working as the native applications, but the whole idea with having to open waydroid and close it after one have used the application seems a bit funky.

I have used waydroid live with at least one app but I have been able to casting stuff from my phone into it and I'm pretty glad I wish that it was a little bit better but I know that it's still a new project and I know that there will be always work to be done with it but it's pretty cool I really like the way that we can run Android applications on Linux with native speed

I'm more interested in speed than virtualbox. Very good, you have explained it very well.

Seems like there is no direct support for openSuSE yet which is disappointing because their Wayland support is really good.

Nice. Have you tried how it works on a touch Linux device like a pinetab or pinephone? I know, it sounds crazy, but I'd like to know how it responds. :)

Hi. I'm looking at WayDroid as a possible app to my Ubuntu machine. I have a bunch of apps on my company phone that I would like to set up on my linux box and they don't seem to run on anbox (the first thing I tried). Probably the most important of then is pluto TV, Tubi, and a few games. Would WayDroid be a good alternative to anbox? Is there something better that I should be looking into. These apps all do run fine on my phone which is running android nouggat.

Hi do you run waydroid in a desktop computer with Ubuntu and a dedicated GPU or an intel integrated one? I have an AMD Radeon Rx 570 and I cannot make it run but on my Intel integrated one it works great.

Does Waydroid require that one use Wayland? (Seems reasonable, but I don't recall hearing it mentioned.)

I can't get Waydroid to open for some reason I tried clean install as well and now can't even open the container to install Vanilla or GAPPS so not sure what I did wrong but something broke along the way.

Could you run CapCut or the YouTube mobile video editor on this emulator?

Wonder which uses less resources and performs better; Waydroid or Windows Subsystem for Android.

Ubuntu waydroid is way easier to install especially how quick it was to install it unlike zorin os which i can't really do something about still a great application makes this even better then windows due to linux having more apps than usual as said linux is a good operating sytem for low end pcs/laptops
Having android supports makes this better thanks

Tried installing this on Linux Mint to no avail. It comes up, but you can't get any apps loaded onto it. Not as straight forward as I thought it would be.
