Non engine being key. I like hearing you talk about tournaments and deck choice in this way

I loved this video, Josh! I hope you upload more about this. You are my favorite Yugituber right now and I always watch your videos, and they are always super insightful, NOT clickbaity and always have something that I consider. I immediatly open my list on DB to revise it when you talk about the format.

I like that you objectively look at the numbers. Would be interesting to see deck breakdown cards for side decks and main deck hand traps and board breakers. Just see what is working and what isn't. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see you on the top tables at London.

Appreciate your insight and the link. I’m really enjoying Spright Melffy

Really feels like none of the engines can compete with the kashtira engine right now. I like the idea of playing a deck then with a lot of non engine spots👍🏻

Always blessed when you give depth of your thoughts on the Meta . I feel the most flexible deck, and over or most most resilient will be best call in the coming events, I'm excited to see how things play out. ^^

What I definitely like the most about your videos is that you share very good deckbuilding guides and ideas without giving the viewers any disadvantages. You indeed make the game more competetive without giving you an edge as an influencer. I really enjoy that a lot.

Marincess is a great deck with great resilience in this format. People are sleeping in marincess but it keeps getting consistent tops

Great video Josh. Love this kind of content!
As a budget player I would also recommend any other budget enjoyers out there to keep those advices as well. Look at the options that you have that also have a huge spots for non engine. Things like Sword Soul and Traptrix are great candidates to be able to perform at a competitive level (regional or beyond). However, if you are only interested in your invite, look out for the OTS tournaments that do give invites, this kind of tournament is harder to predict but the level may be lower. I have seen people winning or geting second with decks going from sure, Kashtira, spright to things like sky striker, Ninja, Mekk Knight invoked, etc. So if you are going to this kind of events try playing something that you know well! Anyway, best of luck to everyone!

Love it man there is no clear best deck for folks who usually just netdeck the best thing and play it aimlessly while there is so much in the meta that there is no way you can properly side 100% and it makes it exciting

great video! I personally always pick a deck for a format depending on 1 factor alone: "does this deck normal summon Stratos?" if the answer is yes, then I play it for the format, if it does not, then I don't

This was a very insightful video. Seeing Ryan Yu’s success with labrynth at Vegas I believe was related to how little backrow removal people were maining and siding. Many kashtira lists were utilizing 3 thrust with 1 evenly and 1 feather duster and that was it, which is not enough. I picked up the deck because of this and saw some local success but the meta has adapted and cards like denko and decree have entered the fray, with so much backrow hate going around it’s impossible to be prepared for every card. I’m no decorated player but I will be playing in the 250th YCS and am still looking for that deck I feel has a good competitive advantage at letting me day 2 or possibly even top.

That is a really good Video for understanding the preparation process for an event. Love it. I will now try Scareclaw it is good against kashtira but struggles with Labyrnth so i will see where it brings me this weekend.

the most interesting part of this format is that it's evolving a lot, every week decks keep changing some cards to counter the other decks/'cause they work better against some decks, and also some new decks top sometimes
