Well, if they make it in, I guess I'll be making some abstract art.

I can single pin pick just fine, but I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to open a lock with no success using the lishi. It's really hard to control the counter-rotation of the cylinder to allow the pin to fall into place when your tension wrench and pick are attached to eachother.

Edit: nvm got it. Don't rely on counterrotation of the cylinder. Just use less tension. I don't find it easier to tell which pin is binding with this tool yet, but I can still open a lock quicker. These are fun, but probably won't replace my standard tools at this point.

Would be awesome tool when there is a situation at work. Instead if drilling out the lock or damaging the door.

It's a 2 in 1 because it's a pick and decoder. The numbers on top refer to which pin it is and numbers on the side is the cut for that pin.

To the burglars…this tool will help you guess where the pins are on the lock…but can you guess what kind of ammo I use? Here…let me put the thought in your head👍

I use this professionally, and one hang up is the mushroom pin. A lot of residential grade kwikset and schlage cylinders come pinned with them. If you don't know what I mean when I say mushroom pin...all good.

For those who are curious: the Chinese dude on the logo is Li Zhiqin ["李志勤"]. I think that's his name. He seems to be popular in China for making all kinds of lock picks.

Shi means "the family of." So Lishi = The Family of Li.

Kwikset's are easy. I had a job where I forgot the key to the house. I cut a piece of aluminum off a piece of flashing, bent a small finish nail for the tension, ran the piece of aluminum in and out a couple of times and it turned. did both a passage and dead bolt in less than a minute and a half. Tried it later on the Schlage at home and it wasn't nearly as easy.

❤ Nice words, thank you. You talked about opening the lock if it was serrated on one side. What about if the lock is serrated on both sides?

I’ve got one of these, definitely a lot easier than individual picking.

So this works in locks upto 5 pins? Or only 5 pin locks.?
Pretty new to lock picking so some direction wouldn't go astray. Thanks
