Learn To Pick Your First Lock! It Is Easier Than You Might Think!

This video goes over how pin and tumbler locks operate and explains how lock picking works. This video provides you with a strong overview on single pin picking (SPP), zipping, raking, and rocking.

All the tools you need is a lock, a tension wrench, and a lock pick.
Lock picks come in a variety of thicknesses, I suggest you get a short hook in 0.025" to start, it is what I use to open 95% of my locks.

I was watching different videos and they were explaining the 'how' but not the 'why' - I.e. as pressure is applied, there's one primary pin at a time providing friction and when you do these in order, you've cracked the lock.

now got to 4 seconds on a clear lock like that with a lower tension bar and a standard hook . too easy, going to upgrade, ordered the pin tray and doing the mods you show this weekend to make it a bit harder. . finaly opened the chinese bike lock too and a squire 660 4 lever. going to a car boot sale / swap meet this weekend to try and pick up old locks to play with.
