Here is a glimpse inside my food storage for our family of 6. My stockpile was built as part of our monthly grocery budget of $475 - and we are still building it! I hope this pantry tour will give you a good idea of short term food storage - as well as long term food storage - for our family. #foodstorage #stockpiletour #stockpile

The 40 birthday gifts idea is sooo cute!! I’ve never heard of an idea like that. What sweet friends and family you have and they clearly know you so well🥰

I used to pack our two freezers with meat, because we had a rural homestead and we hunted, as well as buying at local butcher. But storms and vandalism took out entire county's electric grid several times a year. We lost so much of meat, which was big financial hit. So, I started buying canned hams, canned chicken, canned tuna, canned stews, manwich, etc. Cost much less, still gives protein and long shelf life. Added jars and envelopes of gravy, Lipton onion soup, spices, herbs, instant potatoes, etc. In hard financial or food scarcity times or shelter-in-place times...you can still make good meals and feed your family. You could also barter.

I'm 58 & I haven't forgotten 911! Also I haven't forgotten after College in 2012 the Next Year I had a job at $7.25 per hour! I haven't for forgotten in 2020 Pestilence according to The Bible yet we called it a Pandemic!
Now we are All living in Inflation!
Ironically people have such a Short attention span! When I see a Video like This or The Commercial by Patriot Dried Foods, advertising about Generators I'm preparing myself while others are eating out, having to survive off Credit Cards, borrowing & lending Money!
I refuse to let The Government take Care of Me or have to drive for Hours & wait for hours to receive Food! America is taking Care of Ukraine & Illegals, & The Illegals received Food Stamps! Thanks for creating this Video & I'm watching Videos on Canning Foods as well.

How cute is that bday thing!! I love it! You actually remind me a lot of an aunt I had growing up-so sweet and organized and had an amazing stockpile and really thought me stuff too. I work part-time at Walmart and we get 25% off one shopping trip up to 400$ every year-most people go for gifts or electronics, stuff like that-I always stock up on canned goods, especially canned tuna, chicken, etc. such a blessing and savings. I love how you teach people, now that I have my own family I thank my aunt so much for teaching me

Hi I appreciate your effort to educate. I wanted to add if you don't know already how to store fresh eggs from people how raise chickens. 5 gallon bucket 2 quarts of water ( I think) 1 ounce of hydrated lime. One bucket will hold about 300 eggs for about 1-2 years. There are screw top lids you can order to prevent evaporation. Also I learned that grocery stores with a bakery might give you buckets for free. Sister stay safe.

Good to keep applesauce. You can add it into recipes for moisture and flavor in cake mixes or quick breads, if out of eggs or oil.

You have an amazing amount of food stored. By the way, the pasta should be stored in a clear plastic storage bin because mice or rats can chew through the paper boxes. I saw a video for making non-toxic mice/rat poison using one third each of flour, sugar and baking soda, rolled into balls. That will protect your food that's not in plastic or cans because rodents will eat that first and it kills them.

That was a great idea for a gift. In the Spanish section of food. Knorr has powdered tomatoes. It is a 32 oz jar. Quite large and tastes very good. Also in the same section is powdered milk. NIDO and has the milk fats and vitamins for children. It comes in large canisters. And you can also make butter with it. Because it has the milk fats.

Great video and stockpile. You are so lucky to have a basement area for storage. Most homes in the south don't have a basement.
