🙄 The economy doesn’t exist in a vacuum, it is comprised of individuals

The real question is why we don’t hold certain individuals responsible as opposed to shifting it onto the working class

Not that the working class is entirely blameless either but their contribution pales in comparison to the greed that larger stakeholders engage in that either creates or exacerbates bubbles/crisis’ in every sector of the economy

Because sometimes there are immensely powerful individuals that do affect massive negative consequences upon their Nations economies. That's such a complex thing to comprehend, I know.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

In our last presidential election in the USA. We had a candidate who was prepared to redistribute wealth from corporations and the wealthiest 1%. Using a method referred to as universal basic income or he called it the freedom Dividend, it was too great a shift for people to grasp the concept, while shear greed and swindling can be seen in the markets. Even in our Democracy where the GOP is making harder to vote, it feel like a spiral downwards with shrinking hope for our collective future. Feels very dismal.

Why do we always look to government for solutions to our problems, when the long list of failed government programs extends far back in to the mists of time?

She's absolutely right. Of course some individuals made objectively bad career desicions, but many are just older or there are just not enough job openings. When you see a systematic mismatch of what employers want and what employees can offer, or of jobless people and listed jobs, resulting in high unemployment and a lack of trained workers at the same time, it's the job of policy makers to respond to that. Always shifting all the blame on the individual is cruel and unjust. But much easier and faster than actually fixing the underlying systemic issues, sadly.

Here’s a thought: Get the government out of the way and let a free market enterprise do its work.(decrease costs and increase value). Or, continue with socialist ideals like "have the government create training programs for jobs" and political leaders will inefficiently spend tax payer money which will make everyone poorer.

Ridiculous, individuals are blamed because individuals make the decisions.

Stop breathing deeply be grateful you're in a brightly lit classroom...be decisive, stay optimistic and take personal responsibility for the only part of the Universe you can yourself. Ai will replace 99% of present day skill requirements, so why stress. Same crisis will return again in a 33 year cycle ...so yes breathe deeply, fall in love with your inner demons and learn how to dig a well or create a working garden.

Can someone spare some extra money for a better soundtech? Or invest in someone for the recording of the talks.

Sadly seems to be the typical mindset these days. Sorry, but apparently in need to inform you life isn't easy. You're constantly faced with making choices and will need except the consequences, good or bad, but always strive to be better regardless of your roadblocks.
