I love how she was in this new episode. She's emotionally leveled out but still has that hard edge she's known for. You can tell she's grown a lot as a person since Dooku betrayed her.

Weird how so many people in Star Wars die and don’t stay that way 😂😂🤣

Feels like we are just getting things we liked dangled in our face "Y-you guys like this.. right..?"

I'm totally down for this cause Quinlan is confirmed alive in the Kenobi show, so it opens up the possibility of us seeing an emotional reunion. Disney aren't smart enough to make this work, but I can only hope.

I love Ventress but I’m losing track of the number of force users still alive after the so-called “purge”!

I think the bigger underlying problem here is Disney said all their forms of media will align with canon after destroying legends. Also they just keep undermining the impact death has on a story

I LOVE Ventress! I will continue to be amazed by her character up until the day Disney inevitably ruins her.

ngl I'm more afraid they will ruin another character I actually liked

This shit really became a Fast and Furious with a SW skin, hasn't it?

They posted an article earlier on Star Wars official site that "how she survived will be explained in future content". Which basically means they have no idea and they'll figure it out later. They just want to try and capitalize on another fan favorite character and don't give a shit about putting any thought to it.

I will always love Ahsoka Tano no matter what as a female Star Wars character. Though I will agree at the idea that Asaji Ventress is a much more badass lady in her own right throughout the Star Wars universe. I like how unhinged, morally complex and chaotic she is as a character.

I do not think they've retconned the ENTIRETY of the book, just the death of Asajj Ventress. Everything else in that book is still staying "sub-canon" (I'll explain!) for now and remain events for those characters, and they become "official canon" when they are brought into animation or live-action. Dark Disciple is one of my favorite books and I love everything about it. I have ALWAYS said a good story needs to have three core elements: romance, drama, and action. And that book has all three.

I for one am SUPER HAPPY to see Asajj and I am 99% we will see Quinlan Vos again. I am also 85% sure that Asajj and Quinlan will probably get their own spin off animated series after TBB, quite possibly taking Omega as their ward (adoptee). I am ALSO about 65% sure that their story will tie into the formation of the Path --- mentioned now in Obi-wan Kenobi and in the JEDI video game series --- and might even serve as the catalyst for the inevitable debut of a live-action Cal Kestis and Merrin, who now have a ward of their own in Kata Akuna. Both Cameron Monaghan and Tina Ivlev are live-action actors with a tons of credits in TV, film, and even stage acting. You just don't do that without a reason!

In George's mind, Nia's 100% right... nothing in the books or comics have EVER BEEN canon even before the Disney purchase. Everything else is what I call "sub-canon", which is to say it is canon until it's brought into animation or live-action to become official canon and then it may be tweaked a bit but they basically keep it all the same. Everything in Legends/EU is "non-canon", which means basically don't expect it to be brought into canon "as is". Soooo...

Canon = animation or live-action films or TV shows. (And Disney does claim only the JEDI series as official canon.)
Sub-canon = official comics and books.
Non-canon = unofficial comics and books (alternate universes).

It's not a retcon. When she was laid to rest, her body glowed green. At the end of the episode, she says she still has a few lives left. She was resurrected with nightsister magic.

i really think she came back when order 66 happened and Quinlan survived. kind of like the crow. she has unfinished business. something to attend to before she can rest with her sisters.

I thought I saw something about Dave saying that her return was not going to retcon the book, and that it would be explained.
I feel like we just need to be patient and it will be explained properly how she has returned.

I'm a fan of Legends and the EU, which I prefer over Disney's canon. Those stories and Episodes I-VI are all that matter to me. But as I said, I'm a fan of the EU, so I'm used to growing up with stories, loving them, and then having the rug ripped out from underneath me, and those stories being retconned and/or discarded like the never mattered.

For someone like me that doesn't really read the books, I'm all for her being here. If it wasn't for this channel I'd never known she was dead. At the end though she does say I have more lives left so maybe it's a witch thing and she has more than one life in her soul or something. Idk taking a shot in the dark

These Star Wars Characters are being turned into Hollow Versions of themselves.

Lucas Film officially stated that this NOT a retcon! They have said multiple times that Dark Disciple is still canon and all will be explained in time.
