As a huge fan of Ninjago…I totally see where you’re coming from. The show just hit me and a lot of other kids at the right time. The continuity, voice acting, score, lore, and epic finales all really blew the seven-year-old me away. But if you didn’t grow up with it and are just watching it as an older Lego fan, it makes perfect sense that it’d be hard to get into.

I always saw Star Wars as more of a glimpse into another world, so I really appreciate when they connect things. I appreciate the prequels because they introduced us to the republic area and gave us more worlds to experience.

I've recently been watching The Clone Wars for the first time as an adult to figure out who the heck Asoka was after she showed up in Mandalorian. I was pretty skeptical going in because, like you, I've never been a fan of the prequels. But I'm up to season 4 and while some episodes have been duds (especially in season 1 like that stupid one about Jabba's nephew stinky wtf), I've been genuinely surprised and engaged by many of the storylines they've done. Some stuff seems way darker than what I'd expect to find in a kid show (slavery, genocide, creepy magic by the night-sisters, plenty of on-screen deaths, etc). I've enjoyed all the new villains introduced in the universe of the show (Cad Bane & Ventress especially, but also Savage and Maul) and getting more backstory on Mandalore. It's a lot better than I expected.

I personally think specially molded lego heads can come off as un-lego like. I like them when used alongside figures with regular heads, like star wars, or in themes like spongebob with really unique character designs all round. Looking back at toy story, some figures looked to me as if someone had removed the head of a small generic action figure, and put it on a minifigure. On the other hand, I think other figures, such as the aliens, turned out really well. And man, I miss those longer legs and arms for Woody and Jessie, I'll swear, that was such a good idea.

Justin waited for dislike bar to be removed, for this to be released :D I really hope pre-LEGO Star Wars LEGO videogames will get more attention someday, because they have so much great variety :D No, they're not on Steam, but damn they should be re-experienced. LEGO Island and Alpha Team was my jam and Rock Raiders is a must-try for everyone

Even though I never had Mars Mission, I absolutely love the looks of the sets. Galaxy Squad and space police were absolutely amazing and I would love to see a revamp or legacy sets of those. Alien conquest had some decent sets as well. I think all in all we just need more alien/space sets

6:02 Trust me, Ninjago fans loved when we got villain vehicles, nowadays we just got ninja ones. This wave gave us a range of different things from the show. And, let’s be honest. Would you rather a decent, sturdy Lego-style vehicle, or a crappy, fragile 80 piece vehicle?

I feel like a lot of these are less opinions and more preferences. I can disagree with an opinion, but preferences are completely subjective and therefore indisputable. Here's my unpopular preference: Stickers don't bother me.

You’re my favorite LEGO YouTuber and this video did not change that at all, but I’ll be honest. That Star Wars/prequel/clone wars rant made me want to run full speed and jump headfirst out a closed window

I’m interested to hear what you think of Star Wars Rebels. Sure, Ahsoka, Rex and Maul turn up as supporting characters, but other than that, it forms much stronger ties to the Original Trilogy than any other show in my opinion. You might enjoy it if that’s what you’re looking for.

Anyway, my unpopular opinion would be that I like the affordable scale Star Wars sets from this year, particularly the X-Wing and Slave I.

Honestly I was starting to wonder what you were so worried about people getting upset at you for until you got to Star Wars... then I was like 'OK now you've crossed the line.' 😂

The Clone Wars is an incredibly beloved and acclaimed Emmy and Annie Award-winning series. I never get bored watching it, I’m so invested and engaged with the characters and the storytelling. And Ahsoka is such a beloved character who fans were so happy and ecstatic to see return in both Rebels and Mandalorian.

Props for being bold with the Star Wars perspectives. I do admittedly find it hard to relate to your perspectives on The Clone Wars. For me, regardless of the connections to previous storylines I may have not liked, I'm always down to see a better story told in the same universe if there was untapped potential and it can be better executed. I strongly dislike so much from the sequel films, but if a well written series was made within its timeline, I'd absolutely be down to see it. But it seems like from what I've gathered from what you've said, the visual and character connections alone made it basically impossible for you to get into the series, regardless of difference in execution.
Also, I love the visual style of TCW. It has such a unique aesthetic that is so detailed and cinematic, and beyond the first season, I don't find the character's expressions at all "lifeless". I kind of prefer its later season's asthetic over the Tartakovsky series honestly.

Unpopular Opinion: I don't really like Lego City sets. I like how you can put all of them together and actually have a whole city, but they are WAY too expensive for what they are, and a lot of the same elements are repeated. I probably don't really care for these sets because I'm just more into sets like the Lego Ideas, Creator and Harry Potter ones

I can say that I'm quite a star wars fan. I saw the last one at cinema and watch each one before, and I don't really remember my first impressions, cuz I was and still am a kid, but I can say, that the emperor coming back was pretty ridiculous, but I loved it (cuz I love chaos), and about the movie, while I understand that some people don't like it, it is good for a movie night in a family, especially if the family saw the other ones, especially because all the callbacks (Lando and the pilot, and maybe more).
