This was a really useful video for me. I am going to be giving training to field technicians in the telecommunications sector in Africa. Thanks, that was very interesting! I teach rather small courses, so we often start with a round of people vocalizing their current state in one word (energized, interested, tired, exhausted...). Really helps me to know what my students need that day :)

*I am new here, so far i have been taking classes without maki* ng notes but i feel that's not enough so decided to make notes for my each classes and by that improve myself too. when i searched "how to prepare for lecture" luckily i got your videos, now i feel i have to improve myself a bit more.
i feel it's more professional to make notes and along with that make PowerPoint Presentation, while i teach computer so for me it would be easier to prepare lectures in slides.

I am new to the lecture theater and will be teaching my first class next winter semester. I love humor as well as visual aids particularly colorful art. I am trying to be creative and think of ways to incorporate both in my lectures

Some ideas I have as well to start: use ypur phone to... and then ask them to google something, maybe something relevant, maybe not, but something I can use going forward.

Start with telling the person next to you what you actually know about the topic or want to learn
