The problem with "Plan B" is that it can be very difficult if not impossible to put one together if your job takes up all your time (and energy, and momentum) to do so.

She left out the part about having a husband in a well-paid job. That’s plan B

We are married to our jobs. Anything else takes 2nd place. It is why heart attacks happen more often on Monday's.

I did it, .... I had uber and a bunch of other gig jobs lined up.... currently waiting for one heck of a tax year with all sorts of jobs and working on art. Sure is more fun than having a boss. Still workin on the art and got some ideas. 37 years in and hopefully 37 more to go.

OK, she had enough money (notice she says she kept a roof over the head) to retire early, and can now spend her time writing and giving speeches... Gee, thanks for the info. Any advice for those of us who don't make six figure income ?

Try doing it like I did, without your version of plan b - money. Now that's a roller coaster- going off the tracks.

Not if you are alone...unless you have a lot of savings

Seriously the best backup plan is having a spouse. He/She can provide $$$ and health insurance. Try being a single mom and over 50. 😒

She had a hubby that was earning income outside the home.

This contradictory...she said she prepared but the title says quitting with no plan B

She contradicts herself. She said it's important to prepare before you do that. But the title suggests otherwise

Total bullshit. Not everyone has enough money saved aside or even any saved aside to just quit. Not everyone has two incomes, whether it be from a partner or a second job. And not everyone makes six figures or even $50k a year. I want to hear from someone with one income, little to no savings and doesn’t make six figures who quit to land a dream job or to start their own business. THAT is far more interesting and admirable than a wealthy person trying to give advice to people they can’t relate to.

She did this while she was married! Hello! what about single people???

Bankruptcy Court is full of people who followed this advice...

This is not a god advice, especially not for them who have no education like myself.
