My mother worked in the ER and I spent a lot of my childhood in waiting rooms. This show is a great depiction of the chaos and overwhelming ambiance of the busy hospital I remember as a kid. No wonder some doctors become detached, they have to deal with incredibly difficult situations on a daily basis, non stop.

I loved it so far. I work patient relations and have to visit our e. R quite frequently, and so I find it educational and realistic in that we have all of the same overcrowding and boarding issues. Unfortunately our crazies are not as obvious

First season hasn't even been available in its entirety, but I'm already hoping that we see season 2 with (some of) the same characters just moved ahead in time. I would especially like to see Whittacker mature and become a confident ER doctor.

I have to commend the show for how well it did at introducing so many characters all in a span of an hour without overwhelming us or bogging down the pace.

I love the realism of The Pitt. Two caveats:
— Some (many) problems are resolved too quickly (real life “timings” would drag….I get it)
— There is a blizzard of acronyms that the average person won’t understand
I hope that this show can maintain it’s “legs”. St. Elsewhere and ER devolved into “romance” (and etc.) after the second of third seasons.
I’m no talent expert but I think the acting has been superb (….the daughter of the old man that was intubated/extubated)

ER was my favorite medical drama, the only one I enjoyed as much as ER was Code Black. A lass we only got three seasons. When I heard about The PITT with Noah Wiley and a writer from ER coming to MAX, I was fully on board. After I started watching The PITT I felt it was very different from ER, But in a good way.To hear that they are being sued makes no sense to me. This is a different show all together. I hope the case is thrown out. This show is about the POV of doctor suffering PTD from the Covid outbreak. It has a unique quietness to it that gives it a slow burn that I am really enjoying. Code Black was closer to ER than the PITT is, in my humble opinion. Final words, The PITT is awesome, go watch it!

No, not similar to ER.
ER was not representative of reality.
No show is going to be 100% accurate, but The Pitt is as close as any show has come so far.

I loved Noah in ER & LOVE ❤ him in The Pitt!! My Auntie has been a nurse for over 30 yrs & she said it is pretty damn accurate. One of the best! 👍🏻🥰😷

I may not be a specialist, but I believe the handheld way of filming that is quite reminiscent of “ER” is quite unique to these shows, if not actually flashy cinematography . The rest of your review I think was on point tho ! Good job !
